X-Men x Drunk!Reader (Part.2)
How they deal with their drunk s/o (Part.2)
A night out with your partner quickly turns wild as your tipsy self unleashes a little chaos around.
Characters: Wade Wilson, Cable, Hank McCoy, Colossus, Magik, Warren Worthington III, Alex Summers, Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, Psylocke, Sunspot, Lorna Dane, Domino, Dazzler & Morph
Wade Wilson aka. Deadpool
- Deadpool is absolutely thrilled by your drunk antics. The moment he notices you’re tipsy, he’s already planning a night of wild fun. He matches your energy effortlessly, encouraging every silly idea you come up with and joining in wholeheartedly. If you want to dance in the street, he’s right there, pulling off moves that are as chaotic as they are impressive.
- Your laughter and unfiltered words are music to Wade’s ears. You start complimenting him in the most exaggerated way possible, telling him he’s the funniest, hottest, most badass guy you’ve ever known. Wade pretends to be modest, fanning himself and swooning dramatically, but he’s genuinely touched by your words, even if they’re a bit slurred.
- You get the brilliant idea to dress Wade up in something ridiculous from a nearby shop, and he’s completely on board. Soon, he’s decked out in an assortment of scarves, sunglasses, and a feathery hat, posing for selfies with you. His confidence is unshakable, and the two of you end up laughing until you can’t breathe.
- When some passerby gives you a look for being loud, Wade immediately goes into “defense mode.” He makes a show of protecting your honor, using his humor and antics to both embarrass the person and make you laugh. “Nobody messes with my date,” he declares proudly, throwing an arm around you and grinning as if he just saved the day.
- At some point, you start getting sleepy, and Wade immediately notices, going from his usual zany self to surprisingly gentle. He’ll scoop you up in his arms, cracking a few jokes to make sure you’re still smiling, but his voice softens as he assures you he’ll get you home safely. You nestle into his shoulder, feeling oddly safe in his chaotic embrace.
- Once you’re home, Wade stays with you, making sure you have water and helping you settle into bed. His usual humor is still there, but there’s a quiet fondness in his actions. As he pulls the blanket over you, he murmurs, “You’re a riot, you know that?” and gives your forehead a gentle kiss before plopping himself down next to you to keep watch.
Nathan Summers aka. Cable
- Cable is instantly protective the moment he sees you’re tipsy. He’s not used to seeing you let loose like this, so he stays close, a steady presence by your side. His arm is there whenever you stumble or lean, and he keeps a watchful eye on your surroundings, not wanting anything to disturb your fun.
- You start poking fun at his serious demeanor, playfully calling him “Mr. Intense” and trying to get him to crack a smile. Despite himself, he can’t help but smirk at your efforts, even letting out a chuckle when you do an over-the-top impression of his voice. He finds your carefree attitude refreshing, even if he’s not used to it.
- Cable is a bit taken aback when you start rambling about how much you admire his strength and bravery, even calling him your “badass protector.” He’s not one for flattery, but he listens quietly, deeply moved by your words even if he doesn’t show it. He simply nods, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze as you continue.
- When someone tries to chat you up or gets a bit too close, Cable doesn’t hesitate to step in. He’s intimidating without even trying, and one look from him is enough to make the person back off. He keeps you close, his hand warm and solid on your back, murmuring, “You’re safe with me,” with a conviction that melts your heart.
- As the night winds down and you start getting drowsy, Cable insists on taking you home. He’s gentle as he helps you into his arms, carrying you like you weigh nothing. You rest your head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat, feeling safe in his protective hold as he walks you back with steady, assured steps.
- Once you’re home, Cable makes sure you’re comfortable, fetching water and making sure you have everything you need. He stays nearby, his usual stoicism softened as he watches over you. As you start drifting off, he brushes a hand over your hair, murmuring, “Get some rest, sweetheart,” his deep voice surprisingly tender.
Hank McCoy aka. Beast
- Hank is both amused and concerned when he realizes you’re drunk, but he quickly adjusts, taking on the role of caretaker. He’s attentive, making sure you’re hydrated and offering you food, all while chuckling softly at your slightly slurred words and bright laughter. He finds your uninhibited state endearing, and it brings out his own softer side.
- You start playfully teasing Hank about his formal vocabulary, trying to mimic his mannerisms. He laughs, his eyes crinkling with genuine joy, and he can’t help but join in on the joke. “Oh, my dear, your imitation is most extraordinary,” he says with mock seriousness, and you both dissolve into laughter.
- At some point, you become fascinated by his blue fur, running your fingers through it and complimenting how “soft and majestic” he is. Hank is taken aback but incredibly touched, his cheeks flushing a bit as he watches you. He’s used to people being put off by his appearance, so your admiration means the world to him.
- When you start to stumble a bit, Hank is right there, steadying you with gentle hands. He’ll hold you close, a reassuring presence, and softly remind you to take it easy. You lean into him, feeling safe and comforted by his warmth, and he can’t help but smile as he wraps an arm around you protectively.
- Your laughter and openness make Hank feel cherished in a way he rarely allows himself to feel. When you ramble about how amazing and brilliant he is, he listens with a quiet smile, moved by your words. He’ll thank you with his usual grace, but there’s a hint of shyness in his voice as he murmurs, “You’re far too kind, my dear.”
- Once it’s time to head home, Hank stays by your side, making sure you’re comfortable and safe. He’ll help you settle in, bringing you a glass of water and sitting by your side until you’re ready to sleep. As you drift off, he gently brushes a hand over your forehead, his voice soft as he promises to be there when you wake.
Piotr Rasputin aka. Colossus
- When Piotr sees you’re tipsy and a bit too carefree, he’s both amused and a little concerned. His protective instincts kick in immediately. Piotr has a heart as strong as his metallic form, so he keeps a gentle but firm hand on you, making sure you’re steady as you go about your playful antics.
- You start trying to pull him into a dance, tugging at his arm and laughing at his initial reluctance. Piotr is a bit bashful about dancing, but he can’t resist you. Soon enough, he’s twirling you around with surprising grace, his booming laughter mixing with yours as he finally lets loose, if only for you.
- As the night goes on, you start telling Piotr how incredibly handsome he is, even trying to guess just how many abs he has under that metal skin. He blushes, but he doesn’t mind your flattery one bit. He responds with a soft “Thank you, my love,” finding your compliments both sweet and funny in your tipsy state.
- When someone accidentally bumps into you a bit too roughly, Piotr is quick to step in, shielding you with his massive form. He doesn’t say a word, but his sheer presence is enough to make the other person back off. You give him a wide grin, playfully thanking your “knight in shining armor,” and he laughs, ruffling your hair.
- As you start getting sleepy, Piotr doesn’t hesitate to pick you up effortlessly, cradling you in his arms like you’re made of glass. You snuggle against his chest, murmuring contentedly, and he smiles softly, pressing a kiss to your forehead as he carries you back home, a picture of pure gentleness despite his imposing size.
- Once home, Piotr makes sure you’re comfortable, bringing you water and even a snack in case you’re hungry. He tucks you into bed, his hand gentle as he brushes back your hair. He sits beside you, watching over you with a look of pure adoration. “Sleep well, moya lyubov,” he whispers, his voice soft and tender as he stays by your side until you drift off.
Illyana Rasputin aka. Magik
- Illyana is endlessly entertained by your drunk state. She’s more than a bit mischievous herself, so she finds your loosened inhibitions delightful, even egging you on with that sly smirk of hers. She subtly encourages your antics, ready to jump in if anything gets too out of hand but thoroughly enjoying the chaos you’re bringing to the night.
- You start talking about how incredible she is, praising her strength, her magic, and her beauty in a rambling but heartfelt way. Illyana is not one for sentiment, but your words surprise and touch her. She scoffs at first, pretending not to be affected, but she quietly pulls you closer, her hand lingering on your arm a bit longer than usual.
- When you start playfully trying to mimic her powers, making “magic” gestures with your hands, she laughs—a rare, genuine laugh that’s both warm and amused. She indulges you by creating a small, glowing orb of magic just to watch your reaction. Seeing your face light up with wonder makes her smirk proudly, her icy exterior melting just a little.
- If anyone dares to mess with you or give you a hard time, Illyana’s eyes narrow, and her voice takes on an unmistakably dangerous edge. She doesn’t need to do much; her mere presence is enough to send most people scrambling. She wraps an arm around you protectively, her expression daring anyone else to try something.
- As you start getting tired, Illyana simply opens a portal, whisking you both away from the noise and chaos. You end up somewhere quiet and peaceful, surrounded by the glow of her magic. She sits beside you, her hand resting on yours as you lean against her, and for once, she doesn’t feel the need to say anything.
- Once you’re home, Illyana makes sure you’re comfortable, a bit awkwardly but with genuine care. She may not be the type to dote, but she brings you water and even reads a few spells to help soothe you to sleep. As she watches over you, her usual guarded expression softens, and she gently murmurs, “You’re a fool…but you’re my fool.”
Warren Worthington III aka. Angel
- Warren is a bit taken aback by how uninhibited you are after a few drinks. He’s used to being the one people rely on, but tonight it’s clear you’re the one who needs looking after. He finds it endearing, though, and doesn’t hesitate to step into the role of caretaker, his wings folded protectively around you whenever he senses you might stumble.
- You start excitedly talking about how amazing his wings are, going on about how he’s “literally an angel.” Warren chuckles, charmed by your enthusiasm. He unfurls his wings just for you, letting you run your fingers along the soft feathers. He finds your awe adorable, and he watches you with a soft smile as you marvel at his wings.
- Warren isn’t one for public attention, so when you try to get him to dance with you, he’s a bit hesitant. But seeing how happy it would make you, he agrees, guiding you onto the dance floor. He’s graceful, his movements fluid and smooth, and he holds you close, making you feel like you’re floating on air as he twirls you around with practiced ease.
- When someone tries to flirt with you, Warren’s usually calm demeanor slips, and he’s immediately by your side, politely but firmly making it clear that you’re taken. He wraps an arm around your waist, his wings flaring slightly, a subtle but unmistakable display of possessiveness that leaves no room for doubt. You give him a playful smile, teasing him about being jealous, and he just shrugs, pulling you closer.
- As you start getting sleepy, Warren lifts you effortlessly, his wings unfurling as he carries you. The feel of being held in his arms, surrounded by his wings, is both comforting and exhilarating, and you rest your head against his shoulder, feeling like you’re in the safest place in the world as he flies you both home.
- Once you’re settled in, Warren makes sure you’re taken care of, bringing you water and a blanket. He sits beside you, one wing draped over you protectively. As you drift off, he brushes a gentle kiss across your forehead, murmuring, “Goodnight, beautiful.” His soft words and the warmth of his wing create a cocoon of comfort that lulls you into the most peaceful sleep.
Alex Summers aka. Havok
- When Alex notices you’re a bit tipsy and carefree, he’s immediately on alert, but there’s also a spark of amusement in his eyes. Alex has a playful side, so he’s more than happy to keep an eye on you while letting you enjoy yourself, but he’s right there, ready to catch you if you trip or get too wild.
- You start playfully challenging him, telling him you could totally take on his energy blasts. He chuckles, teasing you back, saying, “You don’t know what you’re asking for, babe.” He eventually indulges you, showing off a small burst of his powers, and you’re captivated, clapping and cheering him on like his personal cheerleader.
- As the night goes on, you get bolder, dragging Alex onto the dance floor despite his protests. He’s a bit awkward at first but eventually warms up to the idea, twirling you around and even busting out a few moves that make you laugh. His easygoing nature shines through, and he can’t help but grin as he dances with you.
- When someone tries to flirt with you, Alex becomes fiercely protective, pulling you close and giving the person a look that says “back off.” He doesn’t need to say anything; his arm around your waist speaks volumes. You grin up at him, half teasing and half smitten, as he steers you away, his arm never leaving your side.
- Eventually, when you start to get sleepy, Alex scoops you up in his arms, carrying you with ease. He whispers jokes and light-hearted teasing in your ear, trying to keep you awake just a little longer, but it only makes you smile drowsily, snuggling against him as he carries you home.
- Once you’re safe and sound, Alex tucks you into bed, a soft smile on his face as he brushes a strand of hair from your face. He lingers a bit, watching you with a fond gaze before quietly whispering, “Sleep well, sweetheart.” His fingers trail over your hand for a moment, a gentle reassurance that he’ll be there when you wake up.
Kitty Pryde aka. Shadowcat
- Kitty finds your tipsy, carefree self incredibly adorable, and she can’t stop giggling at how playful you’ve become. She’s happy to go along with the fun, but she’s also quietly making sure you don’t get into too much trouble, always one step ahead in case you need her to phase you out of a sticky situation.
- You start going on about how awesome her phasing powers are, insisting that she has the coolest abilities of any X-Man. Kitty blushes a bit at your enthusiastic praise but secretly loves it. She phases her hand through a wall just to impress you, grinning when you gasp in awe.
- When you try to get her to dance with you, Kitty is more than willing. She’s got a playful side and loves that she can let loose with you. The two of you end up creating a goofy dance routine, laughing so hard you nearly fall over, and it’s clear that she’s enjoying every second of your time together.
- At one point, you jokingly challenge her to see who can walk through the most solid objects. Kitty laughs, holding your hand and phasing you both through a wall together. You’re both in fits of laughter on the other side, and she whispers, “We make a pretty unstoppable team, don’t we?”
- When you start to get a bit tired, Kitty offers to phase you back home, giving you a playful wink as she grabs your hand. The journey home feels like an adventure in itself, with her phasing you both through shortcuts and making you feel like you’re floating on air.
- Once you’re safely home, Kitty brings you some water and makes sure you’re comfortable. She sits beside you, stroking your hand softly as you start to drift off, whispering sweet little reassurances. She gives you a soft kiss on the forehead, murmuring, “Goodnight, love,” before phasing out of the room like a guardian angel.
Jubilation Lee aka. Jubilee
- Jubilee absolutely loves seeing you tipsy and carefree, and she’s all about bringing even more chaos into the night. She’s hyped up by your enthusiasm and immediately joins in, cracking jokes and egging you on with her signature mischievous grin.
- You start going on and on about how incredible her fireworks powers are, even suggesting that she put on a little light show just for you. Jubilee, of course, can’t resist, and she lets out a small burst of colorful sparkles that dance around you. She loves seeing your face light up in awe, and she gives you a little “ta-da” with a dramatic bow.
- When you both hit the dance floor, it’s pure, unfiltered chaos. Jubilee matches your energy perfectly, spinning you around, and even busting out some hilariously wild dance moves. You’re both laughing so hard you nearly collapse, and she keeps you close, her laughter echoing over the music as the two of you revel in the moment.
- Eventually, you get it in your head that you want to make everyone in the room your friend, and Jubilee happily helps you out, introducing you to random people and hyping you up. She playfully calls herself your “wingwoman,” and it’s clear that she’s enjoying every second of being part of your night’s shenanigans.
- When you start getting tired, Jubilee wraps her arm around your shoulders, guiding you out with a laugh. She creates little fireworks along the way, lighting up the path back home like a mini parade, and you can’t stop smiling at her dedication to making the night special for you.
- Once home, she grabs you some water and a snack, plopping down beside you with a grin. She keeps chatting with you, telling you funny stories and making you laugh until your sides hurt. Eventually, she tucks you in, leaning down to give you a sweet, gentle kiss on the cheek as she whispers, “Night, party animal. Sleep tight.”
Betsy Braddock aka. Pyslocke
- Betsy doesn’t mind letting loose every now and then, but seeing you so uninhibited and tipsy takes her by surprise. She’s amused and a little cautious, watching you with that poised, mysterious smile of hers. Still, she stays close, enjoying the show as you reveal your playful side, a side she rarely gets to see.
- When you start waxing poetic about how stunning she looks—even more than usual—she chuckles, her cheeks tinged with a slight blush. Betsy can’t help but be a bit flattered by your enthusiasm. She teases you about your "poetry skills," but she can tell that you mean every word, and it melts her usually guarded heart.
- You insist she show off her psychic knife, asking if she can make one for you, too. Betsy humors you by creating a small, harmless flicker of energy, making sure to keep you at a safe distance. You’re mesmerized, watching the glowing psychic blade in awe, and she finds it endearing how fascinated you are.
- When you suggest a dance, she’s initially hesitant but eventually gives in. With that elegant, graceful way of hers, Betsy leads you across the dance floor, guiding you effortlessly through the music. Even as you stumble or laugh, she’s right there, keeping you steady and making sure you have a good time.
- When someone makes an offhand comment about you, Betsy’s expression hardens instantly. She sends the person a piercing glare that’s enough to make anyone think twice, subtly standing protectively in front of you. You may not notice it in your tipsy state, but she’s got her watchful eye on everyone around, making sure you’re safe.
- Once you’re both back home, Betsy gently helps you out of your shoes, her touch tender as she cares for you. She brings you water, brushing her hand softly over your cheek as you start to drift off. Before leaving, she sits beside you, fingers tracing gentle patterns on your hand, whispering a soft, “Goodnight, love,” before making her way to the door, leaving you feeling safe and cherished.
Roberto da Costa aka. Sunspot
- Roberto finds your tipsy antics absolutely hilarious and can’t resist playing along. He’s laughing the entire time, keeping up with your energy and encouraging you with that charming, mischievous grin of his. If there’s anyone who loves a night of fun and chaos, it’s Roberto.
- You go on and on about how his solar-powered abilities are the coolest thing ever, insisting he show off. Roberto is more than happy to oblige, creating a small burst of flame in his hand just for you. He loves seeing your eyes widen in awe, and he playfully asks if you’d like him to light up the whole room, winking as you cheer him on.
- When you challenge him to a dance-off, Roberto is all in, no hesitation. He matches you move for move, spinning and twirling you with ease, laughing as you both let loose. You feel like the only two people in the world, his attention completely on you as he guides you across the dance floor like it’s your own personal party.
- Someone tries to cut in, and Roberto immediately places himself between you and the stranger, giving them a polite but firm smile. “Sorry, they’re with me.” His protective side shines through as he keeps his arm around you, making it clear to everyone else that you’re spoken for.
- When you start getting sleepy, Roberto insists on carrying you back to the car, making the journey feel like some grand, romantic adventure. He jokes about being your “knight in solar-powered armor,” and you can’t help but giggle as he makes dramatic declarations about keeping you safe.
- Back home, Roberto gently helps you get comfortable, bringing you a glass of water and sitting beside you with a warm, soft smile. He stays with you until you fall asleep, his hand holding yours, murmuring sweet, affectionate words in Portuguese, promising to be there for you every step of the way.
Lorna Dane aka. Polaris
- Lorna can’t help but laugh when she sees you tipsy and carefree. She’s usually the one in control, but seeing you this way brings out her more relaxed side. She’s right by your side the whole time, playfully teasing you but also making sure you’re safe and sound.
- You start gushing about how amazing her green hair and magnetic abilities are, saying she looks like some ethereal goddess. Lorna just chuckles, brushing her hair back a little as she accepts your compliments, enjoying every bit of your enthusiastic admiration. She might act like it’s nothing, but she loves how much you adore her unique qualities.
- When you ask her to “do something cool” with her powers, Lorna grins, indulging you by making small objects float around in the air. She even creates a little magnetic bracelet just for you, slipping it onto your wrist with a wink as you beam with excitement, promising to wear it as your "superpowered good luck charm."
- On the dance floor, Lorna keeps you close, guiding you with that gentle but confident touch of hers. She laughs softly every time you stumble or lose your balance, steadying you with a smile and a quick, reassuring squeeze of your hand. Her presence feels grounding, even in the chaos of the night.
- When someone tries to cut in or grab your attention, Lorna’s protectiveness kicks in. She uses her magnetic abilities subtly, creating a little magnetic field to guide the person away. You may not notice, but she’s fiercely guarding you the whole time, unwilling to let anyone disrupt your night together.
- Back home, Lorna makes sure you’re comfortable, brushing a hand through your hair and settling you into bed. She sits beside you for a while, stroking your cheek softly and watching over you as you drift off. Her voice is soft as she murmurs, “Sleep well, my love,” promising to be right there when you wake up, her devotion evident in every quiet, caring gesture.
Neena Thurman aka. Domino
- Domino finds your tipsy antics absolutely hilarious and encourages you to let loose even more. She’s always been a fan of chaos, and watching you dance and sing off-key is a welcome distraction from her usual intense life. With a wicked grin, she keeps the drinks flowing, ready to match your energy.
- When you start complimenting her on how badass she is, she raises an eyebrow, clearly flattered but playing it cool. “You’re just saying that because you’re drunk,” she teases, but her smile tells you she appreciates your admiration. The way you look at her ignites a spark of warmth in her heart, and she can't help but playfully flex her muscles.
- You challenge her to a game of chance, tossing dice or playing cards, and she dives in, ready to show off her luck manipulation. Every time she wins, she leans in closer, whispering playful taunts and insisting that her luck has nothing to do with the drinks you’ve both had. Your laughter fills the air as you keep the playful banter going.
- Domino is always on the lookout for potential trouble, and if someone gets too close or too handsy, her protective instincts kick in immediately. She’ll casually place herself between you and the unwanted attention, throwing a nonchalant smirk over her shoulder while making it clear that she won’t tolerate any nonsense when it comes to you.
- When the two of you step outside for some fresh air, she pulls you in close, an arm around your waist as you both lean against a wall. Under the stars, she talks about her life, her past, and her battles, but she keeps it light, interspersing her stories with humor. You can see the softer side of her, the one she usually hides behind her tough exterior.
- After the night winds down and you’re both back home, Domino helps you settle onto the couch, bringing you a glass of water and an extra blanket. She curls up beside you, letting her head rest against yours, and in this quiet moment, she reveals a vulnerability she rarely shows, murmuring about how nice it is to let go every once in a while.
Alison Blaire aka. Dazzler
- Dazzler is a whirlwind of energy, and your tipsy antics only add to her excitement. She thrives on fun, and seeing you so carefree inspires her to embrace her inner party girl even more. Together, you create a raucous atmosphere that lights up the night, her laughter ringing like music as she encourages you to dance wildly.
- As you start gushing about how amazing her powers are and how she lights up the stage, she beams, clearly flattered by your compliments. “You should see me when I’m performing,” she responds playfully, a twinkle in her eye. The way you admire her makes her feel like a superstar, and she wants to show you just how dazzling she can be.
- When you suggest a karaoke battle, Dazzler jumps at the chance, pulling you onto the stage without hesitation. She brings her own flair, using her light-based powers to create a dazzling show around you, turning the room into a vibrant spectacle. Together, you sing your hearts out, her voice harmonizing beautifully with yours, creating a moment that feels like magic.
- If anyone tries to rain on your parade or come between you two, Dazzler’s fierce side comes out. With a swift movement, she sends a burst of light in their direction, enough to make them reconsider. “Back off, I’m with my number one fan!” she declares, standing protectively in front of you while keeping a playful edge to her tone.
- When you start getting sleepy, Dazzler notices right away, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you close. “Hey, don’t worry! I’ll take care of you,” she reassures, guiding you back to her place. With her, you feel safe and cherished, and she quietly hums a gentle tune as she helps you settle in.
- As the night winds down, Dazzler plays soft music in the background, her light powers creating a warm, cozy ambiance. She sits beside you, brushing her fingers through your hair, whispering sweet words about how much fun she had. You can feel her affection enveloping you like a soft blanket, and you drift off with a content smile, knowing you’re in the company of someone who truly cares.
Kevin Sydney aka. Morph
- Morph is all about having fun, so when he sees you a little tipsy, his eyes light up with mischief. He can’t resist joining in on your antics, turning himself into all sorts of funny characters and making you laugh uncontrollably. His playful nature only fuels your own silliness, and together, you’re a force of comedic chaos.
- As you drunkenly rave about how hilarious he is and how you love his powers, Morph goes overboard with the impressions. “You think I’m funny? Just wait until you see my best Wolverine impression!” He starts mimicking Logan’s gruff voice, making exaggerated gestures that leave you in stitches, tears streaming down your cheeks from laughter.
- You challenge him to a transformation contest, and he jumps at the opportunity. Each transformation is more ridiculous than the last—one moment he’s a giant balloon animal, the next he’s a famous movie star. Every time he shifts forms, you’re there, cheering him on and giggling at his antics, completely caught up in the joy of the moment.
- If someone approaches you two with less-than-friendly intentions, Morph’s protective side surfaces in a comically exaggerated way. He transforms into a hulking monster, looming over them and growling with faux menace. “You want some of this?” he bellows, cracking you up even more while also warding off any unwanted attention.
- Once the chaos of the night calms down, Morph helps you back to his place, where he makes sure you’re comfortable. He finds a blanket and wraps it around you, making a joke about “keeping his favorite human warm.” It’s sweet and silly, and you can’t help but smile at the genuine care he has for you.
- As you begin to drift off, Morph leans in, his usual playful demeanor softening as he brushes a strand of hair from your face. “You’re pretty great, you know that?” he whispers, his voice low and sincere. He stays by your side, watching over you as you sleep, feeling grateful for the fun-filled night and the bond you share.

Hello! Can i request some Mavel Rivals Psylocke x male reader? (Romantic hcs, please)
MARVEL RIVALS - SAI / PSYLOCKE Romantic Headcanons
Note(s): I didn't really know how to make the reader male in a headcanon format. I tried, but I felt it came across as awkward and forced so the reader is gender neutral, sorry.
Tumblr media
Sai is incredibly disciplined and fierce, yes, but she's also empathetic and kind. Her love is controlled and it's subtle, but you always feel it, the warmth and gentleness. Even when she isn't present.
One thing that Sai can't stand is people who use kindness for granted, and one thing Sai loves is people who give kindness willingly. Of course, if you're a more jaded or even rude person I don't think this would completely disqualify a relationship between the two of you, but I imagine you'd need to just not be cruel about it. You don't need to take care of a garden or animals, you just need to not stomp over that garden or try to hurt animals. If that makes sense.
Despite being of few words in public, when it comes to your love at least, it seems that every word she does speak is deliberately intended to have a double meaning. Her eyes find yours, full of devotion and softness, and yet when speaking to others they're typically distant unless she has a fondness for them. Mostly like the little yokai shark, but occasionally other beings are granted her adoration. Her respect seems to be easier to earn than her love.
I don't believe she's a fan of public affection. While Sai can sing your praises and speak near poetic speeches of you in private, she prefers to keep them private. Her love isn't for everybody, it's for you. So, why should she share those acts of devotion? She won't, even if given an answer. Of course that doesn't mean she's distant, she will praise you when you do something impressive in her eyes, even if ordinary. It's not like she becomes particularly cold to you, just not so lovey dovey.
Physical affection is a whole other story. She doesn't like being physically affectionate in public at all, and while you can maybe convince her to be loving with words, you can never convince her to be loving physically while in others view. Her hand may brush against yours, but that's typically reserved for either of your comforts in a distressing situation.
How Sai shows her love physically, both in private and in public, is by protecting you. Even if you can handle yourself. She will keep you behind her in confrontation or battle, and she will become silently enraged at a hint of harm your way. This doesn't mean she believes you to be weak or helpless, far from it, she just knows that she's powerful and plans to use her power to keep you safe. After all, she loves you. She can't have you getting hurt while she's there and could've done something about it.
She's definitely a good cook. Maybe not the best, but I bet Sai can make a mean meal at the end of the day, her soups and teas are the best and practically to die for. Given that she grows her own ingredients they're always fresh, never processed, and her teas can make even the most stressful day calm. Being in a relationship with her means you'll get food and drink whenever you ask, of course only when she's home, though.
I think she would maybe settle down in a small house in Japan somewhere, I'd see her near a mountain or mountains. Obviously not completely settled, but enough so that you two can live in peace if that's something you'd enjoy doing with her. It's isolated, it's quiet, and it's perfect for keeping in touch with nature whilst having a place to train. Besides, now you two can garden together and feed animals. It's one of her favourite down time activities.
Sai will take you out on dates occasionally, if you express a desire to go on them, usually to some homey small restaurant or a walk in a serene, nature area. Whether it's the mountains, a forest, or the beach, she'll pack some food with her and you'll have a sort of picnic midway through the walk, or afterwards depending on what you prefer. The public restaurant dates are never too fancy, and they only become fancy if that's how you prefer your dates.
Even though she's not always home, she tries to do as much as she can before she leaves. Waking up at an unholy early time of the morning, she makes the bed neat somehow while you're in it, does basic cleaning so things are in the right place and at least decent to look at, makes sure you have enough food, and sets up a small breakfast. Put on a low heat, as she doesn't want to burn the house or the food, the food tends to be something filling but light.
The morning had started out normal. Sai woke up early as usual, she left her bed, she put on her clothes, and yet when she went into the kitchen her whole routine slowed down. She would always make a quick hot meal and drink before training outside, even in and especially in the colder months, which she would chalk up to helping with discipline and strength. Yet, she didn't. When you wake up, most likely at least an hour or more later, she's on her knees, kneeling by the chabudai with her eyes firmly shut.
So, without a word, you decide to make tea for the both of you. Her eyes flicking open the moment you begin.
That always calms her down, and if you know anything about your girlfriend, you know that whenever she doesn't stick to her schedule she just isn't calm. So, you begin preparation. The cold wood underneath your feet doesn't distract you nearly as much as her eyes do, peeking out from the large scarf draped over her neck, seemingly hyper-focused on your hand.
What the near suspicious gaze is for, and why it's on your hand of all things, you just don't realise until she speaks.
"You seem cold." She mutters, a very plain lie given that her usual training in the winter consists of going out in her usual get up with no protection at all. Sometimes she even travels more North. It becomes obvious what she wants when her hand outstretches to rest on the table, her fingers twitching slightly under the pressure of your look. At whatever comment you make, even if snarky, Sai can't help but feel as if she's melting into the floorboards.

Good day. Is there any chance for headcanons of Vertigo, Black Widow and Psylocke being with S/O, who loves teasing them? In sfw way, if you're curious.
Vertigo:
Vertigo has two moods, she either loves your teasing or hates it. Usually, she takes your teasing with a half-smile, indulging you but not encouraging. If she’s not in the mood she’ll wave you off or leave herself, going to do something in another room. It’s nothing personal, she just doesn’t want to talk right now. If there are other people involved it’s a tossup; she doesn’t mind the teasing during a fight but not in front of the boss.
She’s not one to tease you back, at least at first. The longer you’ve been together the more likely she is to enjoy the verbal sparring. She’s more likely to tease back when the two of you are on missions alone; it helps her keep track of where you are and what’s going on. Vertigo isn’t a fan of when you tease the heroes or other people. She likes it when your teasing is special for just her.
Black Widow:
She thinks it’s cute that you try to tease her. She usually responds with her normal dry humor, teasing you back without thinking too hard about it. Natasha prefers when you tease outside of a mission. She’s used to being the ‘straight’ personality on missions and doesn’t feel like she can respond the way she wants to. When you tease it means that you’re in a good mood and relaxed. She always wants you to feel safe and relaxed with her.
Natasha teases you the most when she wants to embarrass you or she’s been drinking. The more she drinks the looser her tongue gets and the snark comes out full force. She won’t ever get too drunk, especially in public, but a couple beers loosen her up enough to have more fun. Most of her undercover work has been personalities that don’t get to tease or have fun so it’s nice to stretch those muscles.
Psylocke:
She’s the one most excited to tease you back, enjoying the banter all of the time. She likes to have fun with you and teasing each other good naturedly makes her feel more connected to you. Psylocke has a wonderful time until she’s in a bad mood and then any teasing is off the table; once her temper flares it’s hard to get it under control.
Her teasing is darker and sometimes more sexual than your own. If it bothers you let her know and she’ll dial it back. She never wants to make you uncomfortable, just have a good time. If you’re teasing is the same type even better! Some of the others think the two of you can get a bit morbid but it’s all for fun.

Hello! Could I request some Psylocke with a World's deadliest assasin! Male/Gn! Reader, please? (In context the reader is an increadible and deadly assassin in his or their universe in where he/they obtain a form of healing factor due to them being experiement and trained at a young age to be an effective assasins meant to take down any type of enemy. He/They are master of all type of combat and strategy) If this idea makes you feel uncomfortable or uneasy them please feel free to ignore this. Have a wonderful day!
I'm so sorry, but I don't think this story really finds me. I don't think I could do it justice, and I'm a bit bias because I'm not huge on the whole "I know every fighting technique" type genre. If any other writers see this and wanna take their try at it go I think it'd be great, but it's just not for me.
Again, so sorry! Have a wonderful day

Sam Uley x malereader

Couldn’t find any other Psylocke gif
—————————————
3 years after high school you were supposed to marry the man you loved with your heart. It was a really normal life. Nothing weird at all.
Until he phased. He started acting weird and barely even talked to you. That happened after you moved to La Push a really good place.
You wanted to breakdown what was happening. He’s more distant than usual, he didn’t even want to kiss you.
So you did what a normal person would do. Follow him to his “walks in the forest”.
“I know Sam, but you can’t just come every day just to talk to me.” You saw Emily a really nice woman you met when you first came here. Has she been talking to Sam? Is he cheating on you? “
“I know but I can’t stay away from you Emily… it hurts me… I want to be more than friends.” That sentence broke your heart…
“What about M/n? Weren’t you going to marry him?” “I can leave him… so we can both be together.”
You wanted to cry right there. But you had to leave.
You packed your stuff wrote a letter for Sam. And left your engagement ring. Because every time you fought or had a disagreement he just let you get over it or accept he won. But this was the end.
“Hey M/n! I’m home.” The house was all clean and all the lights were off. “M/n?” He got rid of his shirt and pants.
“M/n?” When Sam entered your shared room. He only found a piece of paper and your engagement ring in bed.
“What is this?”
Dear Sam
I don’t know if I can keep handling this. I just wanted to live a happy life with you, away from everyone and maybe adopt a kid. But now I see we weren’t meant to be together.
I hope you live a happy life with Emily, this is the end for me and you. Goodbye Sam
M/n
“No…” Sam still wanted to be with you even if you weren’t his imprint. “FUCK!” Sam spend day and night searching for you. But he found nothing. Not in Forks and in the reservation.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“I see your lost…” You heard an old woman behind you. “What?” You moved to a little town in Japan where it was calm and nothing ever happened. Exactly how you planned your life.
“You’re hurt… what’s clouding your mind my child?” This old woman seemed weird. “Well I lost the love of my life, my parents died, and someone just stole my wallet! I’m sorry… it’s just.” “I could help you. Common.” The curiosity ran over you so, you followed the weird old lady.
“You see, I’m not any random old lady. My name is Susan. I can read thoughts even knowing I retired a while ago.” “What?” You knew about people that could read minds well someone. And he wasn’t any normal either.
“I know you believe me… you know someone else who can read minds do you?” “How do you- oh. right.” The lady chuckled “you probably met vampires… I’m surprised they didn’t kill you.” “Vampires? They are real?” “Oh yeah they are very real. Much like any other supernatural creature of this realm.”
The lady explained to you that she was a hunter. A person who kept balance in the world. If there were too much vampires they would kill them. She also said that you were destined to be the next hunter. “No I can’t… I finally found a peaceful place to live why would I throw this life now?” “It’s what you want… you want revenge. But I can help you control those feelings and your powers.”
The next day you met with the lady again and agreed to be the next hunter.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
After 4 years of training. Sadly Susan died. She was murdered by demons who wanted her. You were more than mad, you killed every single demon that terrorized the people of Japan and found about new abilities that you had.
It was time to work. You first traveled to the deserts of Mexico which had various creatures that were killing everyone around and were out of control. You left some alive so that they wouldn’t disappear. After was the south which surprisingly took you 2 long years. Where you met some wise people that helped you boost your powers.
Then you had a vision. A girl was turning everyone In… oh god Forks!? Really! “I guess I have to go. Just hoping that I don’t see that dumbass…”
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Did you hear?” Alice was sitting in the kitchen reading a book. That’s when Emmet came out of nowhere. “No… what?” “There is someone killing vampires on the west.” “They were probably shifters or even the Volturi” Rosalie suddenly came around the corner. “What are you guys talking about?” “Oh just that there is a vampire murderer in the west.” “So… they’re in the west.” “But dad seemed so serious about it. Like he was worried.” “Emmet that is none of our business we shouldn’t be spying on him.” “Also where is Edward?” “Spending time with Bella. They literally can’t live without each other.”
Alice sighed “well they have been through a lot lately and Victoria is still behind her. So It’ll be best if we just let them stay together.” “If you say so.”
“Hey Billy is it true that once there was a person that killed vampires without even sweating.” The pack were spending time together. Well They just added new members to the group. “Indeed… she could kill vampires just with a single thought. And they might be back. But in not sure who they are.”
“So what happens if they attack us?” “They won’t… they are pure hearted and friendly. Towards us.” Almost all the pack were fascinated. Embry and Jared were talking about maybe how they are so badass. Seth was getting sleepy only being awaken because he was getting scared. And Leah… well no one knows
At this point you might be wondering where is Sam?
Sam was drinking… he never drinks alcohol any day but today. Today is the day he lost you. “I’m sorry Sam…” Emily thought it was her fault and tried to make Sam feel better. Although it worked. He still felt guilty.
“Where is Sam?” Seth asked the pack. “he is probably drowning himself in alcohol.” “Why?” Bella asked Jacob a little bit curious. “ I thought he didn’t drink” “he doesn’t and we can’t exactly say why it will trigger him.” Jacob quietly said to Bella I’ll tell you later.
Today was the training day. After the Cullens found out that Victoria was turning people into vampires to kill Bella they asked for help to the shifters. Through out the day Alice felt eyes on her. She felt that someone was observing them, but not sure who.
“It’s everything okay?” Carlisle asked Alice worried about his daughter. “Yeah just my powers are not working properly.” Now Carlisle knew exactly who was killing the vampires.
He told Billy black about it. “This probably ensures Bella’s safety. We just have to hope they are on our team…”
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
It was today. The day of the battle everyone was more than nervous. Then they saw that stupid bitch with her new born army.
“Bella stay behind me…”
“You knew this day was gonna come. The day I kill Bella swan.” After The first new born started running they were immediately decapitated by a bright purple katana. “I’ll give you one chance to surrender or else I’ll kill you and vanish you from this realm!” The guy in a weird suit warned Victoria.
“It’s him…” Carlisle whispered “who is that?” Alice asked. But the one that was triggered the most was Sam. He recognized that voice. Was it really you?
“I’ve done so much to be at this point and I’m not turning back.” You sighed. Then Victoria was cut in half burning in purple fire.
Then the rest of the new borns were decapitaded and burn in fire. And when you were about to kill the last girl you stoped. “You are not a threat. Just make sure you follow the rules.” You heard other vampires coming, but they weren’t newborns they were part of the Volturi but the most important one. Jane…. “Give her to us M/n” “What makes you think I’ll do it.” “They’re the rules. Don’t make me do it.” “You are threatening me? Because last time we fought I kicked your ass… remember your powers don’t work on me. So leave! And tell your stupid kings that if they don’t follow the natural order I will kill them one by one.” Jane almost growled before she left with the others. “Saw that? I just saved your ass. I do have the perfect family you will fit in.” After saying that sentence you looked at the Cullens.
“Carlisle! It’s you! How long has it been 3, 4 years?” “9 exactly”. “M/n!? Is it really you?” Esme almost screamed as she launched at you and hugged you. “Hi Esme! You’re choking me you know?” “The last time I saw you were still 22!”
You knew Esme and Carlisle well. Carlisle and Esme both helped you financially and emotionally after your break up. Which you appreciate a lot. “I know it’s been long… but I finally found what to do with my life… I protect others who are innocent and keep a balance in the world.” “You’re the guy that killed those vampires in the west!” Emmet screamed interrupting your conversation
“Emmet! I’ve heard a lot of you guys!” You said talking to Esme and Carlisle adoptive kids. “And I’ve met you once Edward! Also don’t read my mind.”
You locked eyes with a black wolf who kind of reminded you of someone. “Sam? Is that you!” You got closer to the shifters but Sam for some reason ran away.
“I guess he doesn’t want to say hi.” You didn’t realize another shifter had eyes on you. You could feel it.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
After the wolfs shifted back which all of them seemed serious about something. But what could it be?
You asked the Cullens to take the new born girl. After all you saved them.
“And you must be Bella! The girl who attracts all kinds of problems! Oh… um sorry. Hi nice to meet you my name is M/n and I really hope you stay out of danger. I don’t want to stay here a lot.” “Why not? Common just by 2 more weeks I’ve really missed you!” Esme was probably your best friend. But you still had to take care of something.
“I’ll see you guys tomorrow!” You said goodbye to the Cullens. You still had work to do. Talk to the shifters…
“Hey Emily where’s Sam?” Jacob asked Emily, he didn’t know what happened or why was Sam triggered by that guy. “He is on his room. What happened? It’s everything okay? And what is wrong with Paul.” “He imprinted on the person my dad was talking about 3 days ago. He needs some time to think about it.”
Right after Jacob finished. You landed with butterfly wings.
“Hey guys! I just wanted to talk about what happened earlier today…” Emily eyes opened wide after she saw who the person was. “M/n?” “Emily! Hey Girl… what happened to you… tell me who did this to you so I can go there and kill them!” You said jokingly not knowing who did it. “How do you guys know him!?” Jared screamed at the top of his lungs. “We are…” “Old friends! Yeah we knew each other since high school.” Emily was surprised that you didn’t seem not even a little bit angry or sad. Just you.
“M/n?” Sam came out of the house with only a pair of shorts and his eyes red. “Sam. I’m sorry was it too much? I thought it was too much-” Sam hugged you tightly. “You’re back…” “Yeah I guess.”
After you explained to the pack about what you were going to do. Jacob had something important to say. “M/n right? Umm you see our friend here Paul he… imprinted on you.” That’s when Sam’s hope crashed down. “What?” Sam couldn’t believe it. “If you don’t know-”. “Oh no I know. But where’s your friend?” Suddenly a muscular men came out of a tree behind Jacob.
“Hi-hi… my name is… Paul.” “Well hello Paul! I hope we get to know each other well!” “Paul nerves calm down, but as he tried to get closer to you. Sam growled and put a protective arm around you. “Get away from him…” Paul started growling at Sam, he was not going to hesitate to shift and fight for his imprint.
“Sam you can’t keep Paul away from his imprint. Whatever happened between you two doesn’t matter now.” As Sam left his arm of you. Paul got more and more closer to you. “ I can show you around if you want.” “Sure…”
Even knowing you already knew the house you still wanted to know about Paul. You didn’t see the pair of eyes looking at you and Paul from afar.
“I’ll see you later okay?” “Ok… know go eat today was exhausting…”.
“What was the training for then!?” The boys were arguing while Seth and Leah were outside. “You saw Paul’s imprint? He was so badass out there!” “I want a glowing katana!” “I’ll ask him tomorrow if I can hold it!” “I’ll ask him first!” “You wish.”
You chuckled at their conversations. They were just like the kids you wanted to have…
Suddenly you felt an arm grave you outside. “What!? Stop touching me!” Before you hit the arm that was grabbing you. You saw it was Sam. “Sam what are you doing?” “What I’m doing? What you’re doing!” “What?” “Oh common I saw flirting with Paul. And how he was touching you.” “Why were you spying on me? And if you don’t remember I’m Paul’s imprint. Just like Emily is yours!”
Sam looked hurt at that last sentence. “I’m sorry I just… lost you years ago and now finally that I got you back. I can’t loose you again…” “you lost me years ago. I know you thought it too right. That this pack could once be ours and I would’ve raised them with you by my side. But I got over it. And you need to get over it Sam! You love Emily!”
“But I can love you both! You and Emily can take care of the pack and we could finally be together.” “I’m sorry Sam. But we weren’t ment to be. It really hurts… but know I have a new life that I’m not taking risks on loosing it…. We should head inside now.”
“Yeah… let’s go.”
“Hey M/n! How do you create purple fire!” “And you can also fly!?” “Is it any type of magic? Or how do you do it?” “Can you teach me????? Please!!!!!!!” “Do you have any code name or superhero name? I saw some comics where this people with superpowers save the world! Are you like them?”
“I will answer every question of you guys as soon as we get inside. Go it’s too cold!”
“And yeah I do have a superhero name. You can call me Psylocke”
—————————————

[𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐤] Star-Lord x Reader
Summary: You're sent on a mission to another planet and catch the attention of your ally. This takes place in the Marvel Rivals Universe; this Star-Lord might vary from the MCU!
warnings: brief 'love interest protects you from a creep' trope, canon-typical violence in the beginning, chronic use of (Y/N) in this bad boy
Tumblr media
Your vision is clouded by thick smoke as buildings come crashing down around you. In this war-torn city, there's nothing to count on but your instincts, your weapons-
"Woo-hoo! Two points for the Star-Lord!"
Oh, and your idiot ally who's somersaulting through the air. The two of you and four others were called here on a mission to transport something to somewhere; frankly, neither of you read the brief, but it doesn't seem like you needed to.
Your new friend, Star-Lord you think you heard him say, lands right in front you. With the area quiet and the haze finally dissipating, you both lower your weapons and check your surroundings. Though it's out of sight and being watched over by the rest of your team, you're sure the objective has just about reached its destination. You watch as he removes his mask to say something, and he's so pretty you almost miss the enemy movement coming from behind him.
"Hah! did you see tha-"
"Duck."
"Goose?" you groan and shove him to the floor for his protection as you raise your gun, knocking out the Psylocke who was racing to get you when your defenses were low.
"Ohh, Nice one! She's so quiet!" He cheers you on from the ground as you extend your arm to help him up, rolling your eyes but smiling at the flattery. Once he’s up, neither of you let go of each others arms for a moment. It takes you a second to realize you’ve stared at him for just a bit too long, and once you do you jerk your hand off him as though you’ve been burned and clear your throat. Just as you let go of each other, you hear Captain America shouting your names from a few streets over.
Once you're all grouped up, you're notified there's been no known casualties on either side and that the mission was a success. With that, you're all free to go, and you want nothing more than a peaceful, quiet walk on the way to the hotel you've booked for the night. With all this multiverse bullshit going on, it's been over a month since you were given approval to head back to Earth where you belonged. Travelling the universe has been exciting and all, but you can't help but miss home; the closest you've been able to find to it is a room for one built in a style you could maybe find somewhere on your planet.
"Hey! You!" you hear the sputtering of fuel behind you followed by a thump as your friendly pursuer lands as gracefully as he can beside you, "I never got your hero name!" Maybe this walk won't be as peaceful as you hoped.
You've seen him around before during missions, and he's even tried speaking to you a couple times, but you've just been so inside your head lately you've shut out just about everyone. As annoying as he might be, part of you is glad he's not the type to give up.
"I don't have one. (Y/N) is fine." You look up at him and catch the most upset look he could muster.
"(Y/N)? Fine normal name, I guess. But that can't be your hero name! I saw you out there, you were awesome!" You can't help but giggle at his enthusiasm, and his smile widens even more, "Tell you what, I'll come up with one for you."
Your giggle grows into a laugh, "Absolutely not, Star-Lord."
"What's wrong with Star-Lord? It's badass!" You want to say what you really think, that his name is both bad and ass, but it'd feel like kicking a friendly dog, so you swallow your jab.
"I guess it's a hero-name of some kind, which might be better than nothing." You humour him.
"So you'll let me pick?"
"I'll let you come up with ideas."
He proceeds to spitball the worst names you have ever heard in your entire life, which eventually spiral into any noun he can think of followed by 'lord'. You can tell that at a certain point he stopped trying and is just trying to make you laugh, but that doesn't mean it's not working.
"Gun-Lord?"
"Be- Because you saw me with a gun?" You can barely contain your giggles enough to answer.
"Too on the nose, huh?" He grins down at you, but you don't catch the adoration in his eyes.
Eventually you calm yourself down, "These suggestions have been so helpful, don't get me wrong, but I don't think we've found the winner quite yet."
"Give me a bit, maybe I'll come back tomorrow with some more heavy-hitters. We'll get you that name eventually. Where are we headed, by the way?" He looks around and notices you've reached the untouched part of the city, though the citizens are still, understandably, in a bit of a panic.
"I'm headed to my hotel. Where are you staying?"
"Pff, lame. I stay in a ship with my crew, you can stay there if you want!"
"Your... crew?"
"You haven't heard of us? The Guardians of the Galaxy?"
"Uhh, I might've heard that cute armed raccoon mention something like that? You know him?"
He laughs, "Don't call him that in front of him, he's a bit feral. But yeah, He works with me. So does Mantis and Groot."
"Weird crew you've got going on."
"You'd fit right in!" You can tell he definitely didn't mean it as an insult, "I'd have to get to know you a little better, but I think we could use someone like you, you know." You laugh again, but this time it's in disbelief. He can't be serious.
"I... I kind of have a life on Earth, I think. As tempting as it is to fuck off into space and do... space things together. I don't even know your name."
"I prefer Star-Lord, but Peter works too. And I think you're underestimating how cool the space things are. Come on, you're curious aren't you? Let me show you my ship."
You pause for a moment and think it over. You'd never join his crew, but there's just something about him that makes the thought of seeing him again so exciting. You wonder if other people find him so charming or just paint him as egotistical.
"Sure. Yeah. Meet me sometime tomorrow, maybe?"
"Your hotel, 10:00 AM?"
"Done."
You spend the rest of the walk talking mostly about Peter. You love asking the questions and he loves answering even more. You learn about his life in space, that he's not totally human like you thought, and you even get into discussing music by the time you've reached the lobby.
"I guess that's it for today." You try to hide your disappointment as you both stand a few feet from the front desk—you already know him well enough to sense he doesn't need more of an ego boost.
"Yeah. It was great running into you, you kicked ass on the field."
"You too," you look up at him but suddenly have the urge to avoid eye contact, "Thanks for walking me back."
"Anytime."
***
Your night at the hotel felt longer than usual and you couldn't quite make out why. Maybe the room just wasn't as comforting as it looked in the pictures. Maybe you didn't get as much sleep as you wanted because you were too excited to see this spaceship you've heard so much about. Whatever the case, 10:00AM couldn't come fast enough, and by 9:30, you were already sitting in the hotel lobby, your leg bouncing with excitement. You feverishly check your watch and sneak glances out the tall, sunlit windows hoping you'd see your talkative new friend. 'Relax. You're never this antsy over a man,' You try to tell yourself. You sigh and close your eyes to ground yourself a little more.
"Stood up?" A gravelly, unfamiliar voice asks you.
"Huh?" Your eyes shoot open and dart towards the stranger in front of you. He's older, lean, and a bit too close for comfort. You stand up and take a step back. He takes a step forward.
"I asked if you got stood up. A pretty lady like you shouldn't be all alone." You can smell the alcohol; he's probably from the hotel bar. 'This early? Gross.'
"No, I'm just a bit early. Thanks for your concern, but you can head back to the bar."
"You should join me. You'd have more fun with my buddies and I." You're not sure if you should knock his lights out now or try to get someone's attention; you absolutely hate making a scene, and you can't tell what would cause less of a disturbance to the otherwise empty lobby.
"This guy bothering you?" You feel a hand on your waist, and you hate to admit it, but it provides a sense of comfort. You fight your instinct to roll your eyes—of course he of all people would love to save the damsel in distress; he's probably practiced that line in the mirror.
Nevertheless, you lean into him to sell your relationship a bit more, "I think we're fine. He was just leaving."
The creep goes pale; Peter is large. Even when drunk, he knows there's no way in hell he was going to beat him in a fight.
"Uhh. That's right. Have a great day, you two." He stumbles back towards wherever he came from, and you quickly turn to face your saviour.
"My hero." Sarcasm drips from your voice, "Thank you for saving me, Star-Lord." You roll your eyes and everything, but after saying hero, nothing else could penetrate his skull.
He smiles widely and his face tints red at the use of his name, clearly oblivious to your mockery, "No problem! It's expected of a Guardian like me." You can't help but laugh; He's just so dumb.
On the way out of the lobby, you quickly check your watch—‘9:43; he’s early, too.’ You smile to yourself, trying to keep it subtle.
You sharply inhale the strange, almost Earth-like air as he leads you in the direction of the aircraft dock near the edge of the city.
"It's still strange to me that ship docks even exist," You try to break the silence, "We've never had a need on Earth."
"Yeah, it's mostly a No-Fly zone for the other planets. Doesn't help that there's not much there anyway."
"Earth has a lot of problems, but it's not bad, I think. Maybe you should visit sometime. I've only just left and I'm already pretty homesick." It's only a half-truth; You've felt this way since you've left your family for S.H.I.E.L.D—it's a lonely life, being a hero.
"... Maybe. I don't know. My home's on that ship now. I'm not even sure what family I've got left there on Terra." You can tell he's got mixed feelings about his life back on Earth. You know better than to pry.
You only notice now that his hand is still on your waist from the lobby once he sighs and tightens his grip around you a little. You're farther from Earth than you've ever been, but you notice that the closer you are to Peter, the less you feel that pit in your stomach telling you to come home. And it’s probably wishful thinking, but you hope that maybe he feels the same way around you.
***
"Who the flark is this?" You separate from Peter only to use him as a shield from the talking raccoon,
"Uh, we've been on missions together before? I'm the gun girl?" you squeak out from behind him. You wanted to make a good impression, but it's a little hard to do when you're the only one on the ship with manners.
He squints, "... Widow?"
"No, the other one."
"Oh." He completely loses interest in you and goes back to working on whatever death machine he's tinkering with. You're not sure whether to be relieved or take offence.
"Yeah, that's Rocket. He's a real sweetheart." Peter takes to holding your hand as he guides you through the ship, meeting the rest of his crew one by one. It's an interesting group on a near dysfunctional aircraft, but you'd be lying if you said you didn't see the appeal.
Eventually, Peter leads you to the cockpit. Your eyes widen as you step towards the control panel.
"You can actually fly this thing?" You ask in awe, with one hand still holding his and the other tracing over the dashboard. You don't need to look at him to hear the smugness in his voice,
"Yup. Pretty cool, right? We'd have to get a seat added for you if you stay with us long enough, but it shouldn't take long to install."
"And where would I sleep if I were to ditch my hotel like you mentioned?" Again, you're definitely not considering joining his crew. You just want out of that hotel and you have a healthy curiosity.
"Uh... There's always my room?" Your head jolts to Peter who's shooting you his best flirtatious grin. It's goofy.
You giggle, "Only if you're fine with sleeping on the floor." Truth be told, staying with him does sound a lot better than a dingy hotel with a lobby that serves alcohol at 9:00AM. But you're not the type to sleep with someone you've only just met, even if you really want to, and even if it's only in the literal sense. Besides, you like Peter, but it’s hard to know just how many cute girls received the same treatment before you.
"Fair enough," He sighs, "There's a spare bedroom that's all yours if you want it."
"I might just take you up on it. Did you know S.H.I.E.L.D isn't even covering my room costs? total bullshit." You tactically leave out that you can more than afford it and you just want to spend more time with him (and maybe Mantis, who seemed absolutely lovely).
"Sounds good, we'll both be here for a couple weeks anyway until we're given the go-ahead to... what was it? 'Fuck off and do space things?'"
"That's right."
"Right. So yeah, My ship is your ship or whatever. But not really." You giggle and note the possessiveness he has over the Milano, "Welcome aboard... Earth-Woman?"
"Absolutely not."
This time it's his turn to laugh, "The next one is gonna be killer though, Trust me."
You smile at him before gently squeezing his hand then letting go to fully face the cockpits windows. You can only imagine the stars and planets this ship has seen, captained by someone who, in your eyes, might be even prettier than the galaxy itself. Not that you'd ever say that to his face, of course.
***
As you tuck yourself into the spare bedroom you had to spend the day cleaning out (it was unknowingly used as a storage room for Rocket's stolen garbage), you notice that your typical sense of loneliness and dread is nowhere to be found. That homesickness you've been carrying for much longer than you'd left Earth has vanished completely, and you can't help but think it might have something to do with that handsome, snoring idiot who's in the room across from yours.

-i'd love to make a sequel but its heavily dependent on how this first part performs! (that means you should like or reblog if u liked this ;)), without a part two this ones cute but on the underwhelming side imho -could be heavily out of character, I'm going almost exclusively off his voice lines in the game! feel free to shoot an ask recommending changes to the shot :) -nothing else to say, i love him so much <3

Off-Script (Act 2) - a Shigaraki x f!Reader fic
Tomura's been Dabi's stunt double for almost a decade, and he's not easily impressed, but when he squares up with you for a fight scene, he finds himself caught off-guard in more ways than one. As the shoot progresses and sparks fly between the two of you, Tomura has to decide if you're worth the risk -- or if the best sparring partner he's ever had is all you'll ever be. (cross-posted to Ao3)
Act 1
Act 2
Tomura’s done stunts on at least four big-budget superhero movies by now, and the one thing he’s learned is that there’s always a lot to do – and at the same time, basically none of it is his job. He’s got a lot of downtime. Tomura counts the time he spends observing Dabi’s scenes as downtime, too, since Dabi’s a perfectionist who will do as many takes as a director will put up with. It takes Tomura a maximum of two takes to memorize what Dabi’s supposed to do, and after that, he’s free to do what he wants.
Nap, usually. Play a game on his phone if there’s WiFi, don’t burn through his data if there isn’t. Watch everything else that’s happening on-set, and since today was set aside from the beginning of the shoot to rehearse the second of the film’s three major battle scenes, there’s a lot for Tomura to look at.
He thought he was going to have to double Dabi for the fight scene, but because Quicksilver’s fighting Archangel rather than Psylocke, there’s no swordfighting involved. Dabi and Hawks got their fight choreography set early on, and it’s boring. Trade hits, banter, trade a few more hits, banter some more, drop a snippy one-liner, and flee the scene. Easy. More complex stuff is happening in the other battle groupings – Storm, played by Miruko, is fighting Cyclops, played by Bakugou, while Nightcrawler, played by a guy named Shirakumo who’s been around forever, zips around in the background. In Tomura’s opinion, having Quicksilver and Nightcrawler in the same movie is kind of pointless, but no one’s asking him.
Beast and Colossus are fighting. Tomura’s never bothered to learn their actual names, and he’s not planning on it today. The most interesting fight is the one that’s happening off to his right – a three and soon to be four-way brawl between Mystique, Jubilee, Phoenix, and Psylocke. It’s the most interesting, but also the most complicated. Aizawa hasn’t left you and the other three alone for more than five seconds since rehearsal started.
Tomura’s read the script, but the scene’s gone through some rewrites since then. The choreography hasn’t changed, though – there’s still an extended hand-to-hand exchange between Mystique and Psylocke, and it still ends with Psylocke getting thrown across the battlefield by Phoenix. Aizawa’s made you practice everything but the throw so far, probably in preparation for Midoriya’s sure-to-be-stupid plan to film everything in one take. According to Spinner, it’s getting to be sort of an obsession.
Not that Tomura can really blame him. He got a copy of the single-take fight scene he did with you and he’s watched it at least a few times a day ever since. It looks incredible, even though Tomura’s in it and Tomura knows he can’t act worth a damn. Even with half your face covered up for most of the scene, you’re acting enough to make up for him, and Tomura can’t get over how fluid and natural the exchanges look – like somebody choreographed them and the two of you practiced until it was flawless. No wonder Midoriya wants every fight to look like that.
But most fights never look like that, even with choreography, so everybody’s getting choregraphed within an inch of their lives. Tomura’s just glad he’s not involved.
“Hey, Shigaraki!” The voice belongs to Aizawa’s assistant or apprentice or whatever, who’s hurrying towards Tomura. “Aizawa wants you to come over. We’re going to practice the throw and we need someone to run the new girl through the basics.”
Tomura’s been avoiding you as much as possible. “Did she say she’s got it? If she said she’s got it, you don’t need me. You go over it with her.”
“This is a stunt. If it was Dabi’s scene, you’d be doing it,” Shinsou says. ‘We can’t afford a double for her. Just run her through the basics, and then you can go right back to doing fuck all.”
Tomura was already annoyed. Now it spills over. “Yeah, sure. Why not? I can do my job and yours and still spend the day doing fuck all while you run around in that stupid hat.”
Shinsou yanks the brim of his sunhat down, scowling, a second before he pitches a bottle of sunscreen at Tomura. “Put that shit on. FX will kill me if they have to edit out a sunburn.”
Tomura hates sunscreen, and he doesn’t give a shit if FX is mad at him. But he’s too experienced to make a mistake like that. Only newbies end up with sunburns on set. You’ve probably got one already. Tomura smears the sunscreen on as they walk, and Shinsou updates him on the proposed stunt. “It’s gonna be a launchpad, but it’s angled, so it’ll throw her backwards, not up in the air. Phoenix doesn’t have to be anywhere nearby, since she’s using tele-whatever –”
“Telekinesis.”
“Yeah, that. So it’s literally just going to be the fight, and then she steps back on the pad and gets launched. Easy.”
Tomura can do a stunt like that in his sleep, but you’re new. “How far is she supposed to get launched?”
“They’ll decide once they start filming. This is just to test it out.” Shinsou fumbles the slimy bottle of sunscreen when Tomura throws it back at him. “Come on. Dabi can play this shit off as eccentric, but you just look like an asshole.”
“I am an asshole,” Tomura says, only to realize that Shinsou’s stopped walking, and Tomura’s continued right into the middle of the scene. “Uh –”
“Thank you for sharing,” Aizawa says blandly. “Shigaraki, you’ve met –”
He says your name, and Tomura looks at you. You’re in the same set of practice clothes as everybody else, and your face is smudged with dirt and dust. And you’re not happy. “I can do it myself. You don’t need to bother Shigaraki.”
“You’re not bothering him. He was doing fuck all when I came over there,” Shinsou says. Him and his stupid hat. Fuck him. “Better safe than sorry.”
“The sooner we do this, the sooner we can go hang out somewhere with shade and air conditioning,” Ashido says. She’s wearing a few pieces of her Jubilee costume. Some actors like to. “Come on.”
Shade and air conditioning sounds nice. Tomura’s been out in the sun for three minutes and it’s already too hot. “Let’s get this over with,” he says to you. You nod. “Before you do any stunt, you need to check the equipment. Since you don’t know anything, I’ll do it for you.”
The crash pad you’re supposed to hit is lined up wrong. Tomura drags it into place, then crouches down to examine the launchpad itself. He knows who made this thing. “This had better not be a prototype, Hatsume.”
“It’s not! We already used it today for Kirishima’s student.” Hatsume has even more dirt on her face than you do, and she’s about ten times as hyped. “My precious baby works just fine.”
Even if the equipment’s been used before, Tomura’s not ready to sign off. He turns to you and finds you studying the launchpad yourself. “Hey, pay attention. I know you know how to fake hits. Have you ever done this before?”
“On wires,” you say. When? “Same principle, right?”
“No. Once they launch you off of this, your trajectory’s out of your control.” Tomura studies the distance between the launchpad and the crash pad. “Stay tensed up. You need to be in control of your body the entire time or you’re going to break something.”
You’re listening now. You nod. “This is still a movie and you want it to look believable, even if it’s stylized. Think about what you’re going to do with your arms and legs so you aren’t just flailing around,” Tomura continues. It’s weird to have you looking at him like this. Your eye contact was really intense during the duel, too. “Even if the throw gets out of hand, protect your head and neck. You can absorb a hit anywhere else, but land on either of those and it’s game over. Got it?”
“Got it.”
You’re still looking at him. Tomura racks his brain for something else to say. “If you’re in trouble and you can rotate, try to hit on your side instead of your back. That’s it.”
You nod. “Can you show me?”
“Huh?”
“I want to see what it’s supposed to look like before I try it,” you say. That’s – smart. Irritating as hell, because Tomura wasn’t planning on getting launched today, but smart. “Do you mind?”
“Yes,” Aizawa says. “The temperature is climbing and we’re on a tight schedule.”
“This will take fifteen seconds.” Tomura repositions the crash pad one more time, glances at you to make sure you’re watching as he steps onto the launchpad. You’re watching. It’s weird. “Count off. Three – two –”
Hatsume launches Tomura on one, as usual, and Tomura spends a split second being surprised at the force before he remembers that he’s supposed to be demonstrating. He chooses his arm positioning at random, rolls slightly in the air so he won’t strike the crash pad spine-first, and hits hard enough to wind himself. “I told you it worked,” Hatsume crows.
It works. Like being launched out of a cannon, sure, but it works. Tomura’s not going to hop up looking out of breath. He stays sprawled out for another few seconds, long enough for you to come over and offer him a hand up. You look a little worried. “Are you okay?”
“That was nothing,” Tomura says. He’s been doing stunts like that since he was a kid. He ignores your hand and gets up on his own. “Any questions?”
“What happens if it throws you harder than you expected?”
You’re observant. Tomura doesn’t like that very much. That plus the staring makes him feel like he’s under a microscope, and he’s way too experienced to get caught being caught off-guard. “Make sure you exhale when you hit. You won’t get as winded if you knock the wind out of yourself first.”
You nod. Tomura takes a closer look at him, wondering if you’re actually worried about him or just worried about stepping on Hatsume’s rocket launcher for yourself. Probably the latter. “Thanks for showing me,” you say. You’re standing close enough that Tomura can smell your sunscreen, which smells a lot nicer than whatever Shinsou threw at Tomura. “It helped a lot. And thanks for checking the equipment.”
“Yeah, whatever.” Tomura turns away to head back to his spot. He’s got fuck-all to do, so maybe he’ll nap, and maybe when he wakes up he’ll watch the fight scene again. Fighting you is a lot less awkward than talking to you, even if the fight ended with you pinning him to the ground.
“Tomura-kun!” Toga draws up alongside him. Like Ashido, she’s wearing part of her costume – the wig and facepaint for Mystique. “That was a nice throw. But you need to be nicer to the new girl. She’ll never go out with you if you keep being mean!”
“Why can’t you and Spinner drop it? I don’t want to go out with her.” There aren’t words for how much Tomura doesn’t want to think about this right now. Or ever. “Why do you even think that?”
“Why do you keep watching that fight scene?” Toga challenges. Shit. Tomura’s face heats up. “It’s because you have chemistry. I know all about chemistry. You’re mean to her when you aren’t mean to anybody else because you don’t want to have chemistry with anybody. I’ve never met a guy who hates being horny as much as you do.”
“I don’t hate being horny.” Tomura doesn’t even know where Toga dug that one out of. Then again, he’s known her since they both started working on the X-Men films, so she’s got ten years of Tomura’s bullshit to back herself up with. “What does that even mean?”
“You don’t want to like people because you think nobody will like you, but that isn’t true!” Toga pats Tomura’s arm. “But she’s not going to like you if you keep being mean to her. That’s not how you sweep a cute girl off her feet.”
Tomura’s got a lot of problems with that statement – mainly that he’s not being mean to you, that he doesn’t think you’re cute, and that he doesn’t want to sweep you anywhere, let alone off your feet. You don’t need him to do that when you’re doing your own stunts. And there’s something about the stunt that’s bothering Tomura, something that’s got nothing to do with the crush everyone’s pretending he has on you. The launchpad threw him hard. It must have thrown Kirishima pretty hard, too. Tomura’s not as tall as Kirishima, but both of them are taller and heavier than you. If Hatsume doesn’t recalibrate the launchpad, she’s going to throw you into the sun.
Tomura whips around and takes off back towards the practice site. Toga chases after him, but they’re both too late. Somebody’s already shouting, and Shinsou books it past Tomura in the opposite direction, already calling for a medic. Fuck. The others are crowded around you, and Tomura can’t see. He shoulders his way into the huddle and finds himself staring down at you.
You look sort of pale, and you’re smiling, but Tomura can tell it’s faked. Whoever taught you to smile through pain didn’t do a good job. Either that or you’re really hurt. You’re already trying to sit up. “Stay down,” Tomura snaps. He crouches down next to you, looks you over for obvious injuries, but you aren’t bleeding and nothing looks broken. “Where did you hit?”
“Just my shoulder. I’m fine.”
You don’t look fine. You look rattled as hell, and Tomura feels a sharp surge of guilt. He checked the equipment. He knew the throw was going to be hard, and if he hadn’t been so busy being pissed that you were looking at him while he talked to you, he’d have realized that what was a hard launch for him could actually throw you clear of the crash pad. In the bigger picture, this is Midoriya’s fault for not hiring a stuntwoman for you. Right here, right now, it’s on Tomura.
He hates feeling like this. “What happened?”
You don’t answer, but Uraraka, who plays Phoenix, fills in. What happened was exactly what Tomura could have predicted if he’d been paying attention instead of being stupid – you were thrown almost completely clear of the crash pad, and the only part of you that hit it was your shoulder. “It doesn’t hurt,” you insist, and you sit up, getting right in Tomura’s face. He can still smell your sunscreen. “It was just a shock. I’m good. Can we try it again?”
Ashido’s eyes widen. “Are you crazy? That thing almost threw you into orbit.”
“I’m calibrating it down,” Hatsume calls.
“She’s calibrating it down,” you say. “And now I know what it feels like, so I’ll do better.”
“Quit trying to be a hero,” Tomura says. “If you’re hurt –”
“I’m not hurt,” you say. Tomura realizes that short of pushing you back down in the dirt, he can’t stop you from getting up. He gets up first so he can offer his hand. Which you ignore. “I’m not bleeding, nothing’s broken, and I didn’t pass out. Let’s do it right this time.”
Aizawa’s phone buzzes, and he glances at it. “The medics are dealing with three cases of heatstroke. It’ll be a while.”
“Then I’ll go see them after we’re done here,” you say. “Come on. I thought we were on a schedule?”
Schedule is the magic word. It gets Aizawa’s attention, and everybody else still wants to get it over with and get out of the sun. Tomura sticks around to watch, or supervise – after what happened, he doesn’t trust anybody not to fuck things up. He sees Toga check in with you, and the others do the same. People like you. Sure, they like working with you, but based on the way they’re joking around with you, they like you for yourself, too. And they’re probably not the only ones.
Tomura’s stomach cramps at the thought, and his shit brain decides it’s a good time to think about the fight again. Thinking about it turns into watching it, as usual, only this time Tomura knows what your stupid sunscreen smells like. And just like every time he watches the fight, he’s caught off-guard by just how good the two of you are together. How easy you make an improvised fight scene look. Like you know each other’s moves by heart, even though you’d never met before, let alone watched each other fight. That’s chemistry. That’s why Tomura’s been waiting so impatiently for his next fight scene with you. He wants to feel like that again.
Toga was right. Unfortunately, Spinner was right, too, when he said Tomura looked into it. Tomura looks really into it. Tomura puts his phone away so he won’t have to look at his own stupid face any longer.
The second run-through of the four-way fight goes well, and nothing goes wrong with the launchpad, so Aizawa calls it good for the day. The actors scatter to their trailers or to the shuttle back into town with more urgency than usual. There’s some kind of producer party/press thing going on tonight, and all the big-name actors are supposed to go. Dabi included.
But Dabi’s back on his bullshit, of course. When Tomura goes to check on him, he’s lying facedown on the floor of his trailer with music playing in the background and a giant water bottle within easy reach. Water’s not the only clear liquid on the planet. Tomura pries open the water bottle and sniffs it. Just water. This time.
“You really think I’d chug water out of a Nalgene? Fuck off,” Dabi says from the floor. “Who did and made you my sponsor?”
“I’m not your sponsor. You asked me and Spinner to check in with you about this shit.” Tomura wasn’t crazy about being part of Dabi’s official sober support system, but he does spend more time with Dabi than almost anybody else who’s involved. “Are you going to that party tonight?”
“Sure, why not?” Dabi flops over to his back. He’s famous for looking bored whenever he’s not on camera, but this looks worse than usual. “Dress up in a stupid outfit and go watch my coworkers have fun drinking stuff I can’t drink and snorting stuff I’m not supposed to touch. It sounds like a great time.”
It sounds like shit, but that’s how Tomura feels about most parties. “I should make you go,” Dabi says. “If you got trashed you’d just puke in the bushes like a college girl instead of going batshit crazy in front of the paparazzi.”
He sits up to drink some water, then flops back down. “Too bad you don’t look more like me. I’d make you do all the stuff and I could go die in peace.”
The door to the trailer opens and Spinner comes in without asking first. “What are we talking about?”
“Me dying in peace.”
“Okay, are we seriously talking about that? Do I need to call somebody?” Spinner’s a lot better at this than Tomura is. “Or do you just not want to go to the party tonight?”
“Don’t call anybody,” Dabi growls. “If you were me, you wouldn’t want to go to a photo op, either.”
“Yeah, I guess this would be your first official one since the thing,” Spinner says. He sits down on the floor next to Dabi. Tomura leans back against the wall with his arms cross, idly tuning in to the music. “Want one of us to come with you?”
Tomura kicks him, glares when Spinner looks up, but Dabi’s already shooting the idea down. “No. My sister already gets DMed way too much RPF with you dipsticks in it.”
“Okay, then find somebody who’s going to be there who’s not a huge partier,” Spinner suggests. “Just glue yourself to them the whole night and do whatever they do.”
For a second Dabi looks like he might go for it. “They’re all partiers except the lame ones.”
Spinner punches Tomura in the leg. “What do you think, Shigaraki?”
“I don’t care about this,” Tomura says. Spinner punches him again, harder. “Just hang out with Hawks. He only gets wasted at the wrap parties.”
“No,” Dabi says at once. “Not him. I hate him.”
“So go hang out with him and you’ll hate him less,” Spinner says. Dabi groans. “Worst comes to worst, text us and we’ll come get you.”
“Like that’ll happen.” Dabi sits up for another swig of water, but doesn’t lay down again. “Get out. I have to find a ride.”
“Have fun,” Spinner says. Tomura’s out the door already, and Spinner catches up to him before he’s down the steps. “Was that water in there?”
“Yeah, I checked.”
“Good,” Spinner says. “Speaking of parties, though –”
He trails off like he’s expecting Tomura to fill in the blank. “What?” Tomura asks.
“Everybody who’s not at the producer thing is throwing one of our own. Tonight,” Spinner says. “And that means you should –”
“What?”
“Invite her to the party,” Spinner says. Tomura starts walking faster. “Seriously. She’s not a big enough star to get invited to the main one and she might not know ours is even happening. Go find her and ask.”
“No.”
“Do it.”
“No,” Tomura says. “Leave it alone.”
Spinner shakes his head. “Go ask her or I’m sending everybody that livestream where you played a dating sim and got shot down by all the characters.”
There was a while where Tomura wanted to be a streamer, but what little there is that’s engaging about him in person absolutely fails to translate live on camera. He had to resort to gimmicks to get views, and one of the gimmicks was playing easy games while getting drunk. Or at least Tomura thought they were easy games. Dating sims are harder than he thought they were, and once every single romanceable character had rejected him, he secured the achievement Turbo Virgin, won by the 0.06% of players who couldn’t pull even one fictional girl.
That would have been bad enough all on its own, but Tomura teared up during the last rejection cutscene, too. The fact that the stream still exists somewhere haunts Tomura daily. “You wouldn’t.”
“Hey, I’m just trying to help make your dream a reality,” Spinner says. “Go ask her to the party. The worst thing she can say is no.”
In theory, that’s true. In practice there are a lot of ways to say no, and Tomura thinks of all of them as he heads off in search of you. Of course you’re nowhere to be found. You might have caught the bus back to town already, or maybe you got invited to the actor party after all. The only thing Tomura has to work off of is you telling the others that you’d go see the medics after shooting wrapped for the day. He sticks his head in the medic tent and steps back out again in a hurry, his face going up in flames. You’re in there, all right. You’re sitting on a cot with your back to the door and your shirt in a heap next to you.
You’re just sitting there with your clothes off when anyone could walk in. What is wrong with you? Sure, there are plenty of actresses whose costumes are revealing as hell, and sure, half the women Tomura knows dress for a trip to the convenience store like they’re headed to the club, but you? Tomura didn’t think you were that type, and if you are – this is an even worse idea than he originally thought.
Tomura needs to get his shit together. Of course your shirt’s off. You hit your shoulder and the medics need to look at it. He’s pretty sure you’re wearing a bra, and even if you aren’t, you’re facing away from the door. He’s not going to see anything, and if he keeps this bullshit up, he’s going to earn a real-life Turbo Virgin achievement half a decade after he lost his virginity. Tomura steels himself and ducks back inside.
The medic’s talking to you. “I put the rib back in place and it should stay there, but no more launching stunts for the next day or two, all right? And I’m giving you one of these so you’ll sleep tonight – but don’t take it until after the party. It doesn’t play well with alcohol or anything else.”
“I’m not going to the party,” you say, reaching for your shirt. Tomura gets a good look at the bruise darkening across your shoulder blade and back before your shirt conceals it. “I’ll take that and go to bed early.”
“I meant the other party,” the medic says.
“There’s another party?”
Fuck. “Of course,” the medic says, surprised. “Hasn’t anyone – what are you doing here, Shigaraki? You should know better than to just barge in.”
The medics don’t like Tomura very much. He ignores her. “There’s another party,” he says to you, and you turn slowly to face him. “Everybody who’s not A-list goes to that one. I came to invite you, in case you didn’t know.”
“I didn’t,” you say.”
“Well, now you know,” the medic says briskly. “Remember what I said. Don’t mix that medication with anything.”
“I won’t.” You get up from the cot and brush past Tomura, stepping back into the sun. The smell of your sunscreen drifts over his face as he follows you out. “So there’s a party?”
“Yeah. We throw one whenever the A-listers call some over-the-top press conference a party.” Tomura falls into step next to you. “You dislocated a rib?”
“Only a little bit.”
“You can’t dislocate something a little bit. It’s dislocated or it’s not.” Tomura glances at you. “You should have made them wait on the second stunt. Keeping going after you get hurt makes you stupid, not tough.”
“Really?” You look up at him. “Where I come from, anything that’s not performance-impairing is something you can push through.”
“Right, because there’s no difference between a Broadway show and a superhero movie.”
“No, there’s a difference,” you say. “Broadway’s a lot hard than this.”
Tomura scoffs. “Nice try.”
“It is,” you say. “Six to eight weeks of all-day rehearsals, plus physical conditioning on the side, and after that it’s seven shows a week – the same thing, over and over again, for however long the show runs or however long you can take it.”
Huh. “The leads have it the toughest,” you continue, “but the ensemble’s made up of understudies, and there are multiple backups for each of the leading roles. You know, because the show must go on. In practice that means being responsible for ensemble work plus one or two entire roles – which you only get to perform if something happens to the person above you. It’s a house of cards, and if enough people fold the whole thing comes tumbling down.”
You stop walking, and so does Tomura. “So yeah, I’d say theatre and this aren’t comparable. I don’t know where we’re going.”
“I was following you,” Tomura says. You give him a frustrated look. “So you’re saying you’d do a whole show with a rib out of place.”
“I did a whole show throwing up in the bathroom every time I went offstage,” you say. Tomura blinks. “Your job’s a lot rougher than mine, though. Catastrophic injuries are kind of rare in theatre. It’s hard to break your neck falling off the stage.”
“It’s a lot easier to break it falling off a building.”
“You – what?” Your eyes widen with surprise – and worry. “How?”
“That one space movie – Venus Rising or something.” Tomura always pretends he doesn’t remember the title. You must know it, though. He sees your mouth twitch. “The villain falls off a building at the end of Act One and comes back as a crazy cyborg. I didn’t double-check my equipment, and my harness snapped right when it was supposed to catch me.”
Your mouth turns down at the corners, in the same moment as Tomura remembers why you wound up in the medic tent in the first place. He grits his teeth against the guilt. “I should have learned from that and checked yours better.”
“I should have known how to do it myself,” you say. “It wasn’t on you.”
Maybe it wouldn’t have been, if Tomura had only checked the device instead of trying it out. “I knew the launch was too hard. If I’d been thinking instead of –” thinking about you “– I would have told Hatsume to recalibrate it before it was your turn. I’m sorry.”
“It happens,” you say. “Nobody died, and now I know to ask about that stuff. It’s okay.”
Tomura wants to tell you that you’re being naïve, but before he can do that, you change the subject. “So, this party. What are crew parties usually like?”
“Like any party. Drinks, food. Games, sometimes.” Tomura thinks about it. “Music. Yamada, the composer – he has this DJ person he puts on. There might be karaoke. It’s not the worst.”
“Are you going?”
“Yeah,” Tomura says. “You think I’d invite you to a party I’m not going to?”
“I didn’t think you’d invite me anywhere at all,” you say, and shrug. And wince. “I’ll see you there, okay?”
Is Tomura supposed to walk with you or something? Is that how this is supposed to work? “Just follow the music. I’ll see you there.”
Tomura watches you walk away, a disgusting knot of anticipation pulling tight in his stomach. He’s pretty sure he asked you out. He’s pretty sure you said yes. And he’s damn sure that whether you show up or not, whether he drinks too much or nothing at all, and whether he gets called to drag Dabi out of some easily-photographed situation he got himself into, he’s in for a really rough night.

Okay, I have a lot of future fic ideas. Let me know which of these excite y'all the most:
1) Erik x Xavier!Reader, Fluff. Maybe writing about Charles and Erik meeting, reader meeting erik, where it goes from there etc etc. Overall just meaningful Erik stuff
2) Erik x Xavier!Reader, Angst. The other side of the coin this time, where reader turns Erik down in Cuba. Just both of them malding and seething through the years, and then it fucking explodes during DoFP's prison break + plane scene (inspo: Charles bitch slapping Erik)
3) Erik x X-men!Reader, Injured scenario? Exactly what it says. Classic brotherhood v x-men, I'll make up a reason for this ofc. But the reader gets in the way and is gravely injured. Angry Erik ensues
4) Erik x Metal-controlling reader, rivals ish. I'm thinking the reader also has metal controlling powers. Rival shenanigans with this one.
I also have ideas of writing for Charles. Another thing on my agenda is that I wanna write stuff like Raven x F!reader, because I don't think I've seen many wlw fics for X-Men. A tragedy, bc ppl like Emma, Jean, Rogue, Raven and Psylocke exist. Thoughts?

How would you "fix" Laura Kinney?
Okay-
First of all, the “Laura saving lost mutants” in my opinion isn’t a great hook. We have three books with essentially the SAME PREMISE- NYX with Prodigy, Exceptional with Emma and Kitty, and Uncanny with Rogue.
These mutant “kids” on top of it are basically a “by the issue” characters; they disappear the minute the issue is over and basically give readers zero reason to really care.
I don’t know HOW this got approved by editorial (Jim Shooter would have NEVER ALLOWED THIS lol!)- the whole POINT is you want the X-Men books to be varied enough that people will pick up several titles. Laura is the lowest on the totem pole because you don’t even have to worry about the “new characters” being important…of it feeding into another book… (Psylocke’s solo for example, plays into “X-Men”…)
It’s a premise that isn’t particularly original and it’s a book you can essentially drop at any time. While Taylor’s ANW wasn’t tied particularly into ANXM… he was smart about it, because it felt “fresh” enough and different from the other x-titles on the market.
If I was writing this solo- I would instead have focused on the Facility- Tom Taylor ended ANW with Laura avenging victims of the Facility.
Most likely, if there are still underground branches of the facility open (which KYOST hinted there WERE with Predator X…), they would send a “cleaner”. Get rid of anyone who “talked” and Laura (and possibly Gabby and Bellona since she was made by Alchemex, a different company that stole their research!) to eliminate the threat of lost revenue and jail time.
There had to be more individuals funding the Facility besides Sutter and someone funding the other branches- it would be easy to connect that to Graymaulkin Prison and Ellis.
I would make the “cleaner” and another facility CEO the “A Plot”.
The “B Plot” would be introducing other villains, which is what Laura desperately needs!
Honestly I am surprised they haven’t played with “religious villains and themes” more… considering Laura’s dilemma with “do I have a soul” and the battle of technology vs religion.
I’m surprised they haven’t gone the “serial killer” route, especially if they were preying on sex workers.
I would avoid too many guest appearances- while I might bring in villains like “Kingpin” again, since the mini was so lackluster… I would for the most part focus in on developing Laura, who currently feels a little lost as a character.
I wouldn’t touch the “Talon drama” with a ten foot pole- no one wants it. It’s one hundred percent going to blow up in Marvels face, the SAME way the “Clone Saga” did for Spiderman. If they double down on it- a lot of readers will be done.
Fans want a return to KYOST, Liu era, or Taylor ANW… they want Laura to feel like a character, with her own story. That’s why she was successful. If you give fans a bit of that- they’ll be happy.

X-Men x Reader (Part.2)
You protect them during a fight
Characters: Cable, Mystique, Hank McCoy, Colossus, Magik, Warren Worthington III, Alex Summers, Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, Psylocke, Sunspot, Lorna Dane, Domino, Dazzler, Morph, Legion & Lucas Bishop
I don't often do all 32 X-Men characters I have on my list, but I love doing it so much. I really need to do this more often. If you have any X-Men you'd like me to add to my list, please let me know, I'd be happy to do so.
Nathan Summers aka. Cable
- Nathan was used to being the one in control, his military training and experience making him the protector in any situation. So when you stepped in to shield him during a fight, he was caught off guard. “What the hell are you doing?” he barked, his stern voice masking the panic in his eyes. After the battle, he pulled you aside, his expression a mix of anger and concern. “That was reckless,” he said gruffly. “You could’ve been killed.”
- Despite his harsh words, Nathan couldn’t stop thinking about what you’d done. He found himself watching you more closely, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive. One evening, as the two of you worked on repairing some equipment, he finally spoke up. “Why did you do it?” he asked, his tone softer than usual. When you shrugged and said you couldn’t stand the thought of him getting hurt, his expression softened.
- Over the next few days, Nathan struggled to reconcile his feelings. He admired your bravery but hated the thought of you putting yourself in danger for him. One night, as the two of you sat by the fire, he finally opened up. “I’ve spent my whole life protecting others,” he said quietly. “It’s… strange to have someone do the same for me.”
- As your bond deepened, Nathan found himself opening up to you in ways he hadn’t with anyone else. He admired your strength and resilience, and he couldn’t help but feel drawn to you. One day, as you trained together in the Danger Room, he finally admitted, “You mean a lot to me. More than I realized.” His confession was quiet but sincere, his steel-blue eyes meeting yours with unwavering intensity.
- From then on, Nathan became even more protective of you, though he respected your independence. “We’re a team,” he said one day, his hand resting on your shoulder. “But if you ever pull a stunt like that again, I swear I’ll lock you in the safest room I can find. You’re too important to lose.”
Raven Darkholme aka. Mystique
- Mystique had always been a lone wolf, relying on her shape-shifting abilities and razor-sharp wit to keep her one step ahead of everyone else. She wasn’t used to letting anyone get close, so when you threw yourself into the fray to protect her during a fight, she was stunned. The enemy's blow barely missed you, and Mystique retaliated with a ferocity that left no question about her skill. Once the battle was over, she grabbed your arm and pulled you aside, her yellow eyes blazing. “What were you thinking?” she demanded, though her voice held a note of something that wasn’t quite anger.
- Back at the hideout, Mystique paced the room, her usual composure shaken. “You don’t get to put yourself in danger for me,” she said sharply, refusing to meet your gaze. But her frustration wasn’t about your actions—it was about the unfamiliar feeling of someone caring enough to risk themselves for her. It left her feeling exposed in a way she hadn’t expected.
- Over the next few days, Mystique kept her distance, though her eyes always seemed to find you in a crowd. She hated how vulnerable she felt, yet she couldn’t help but admire your bravery. One evening, as you bandaged a small wound she’d sustained during another mission, she finally broke the silence. “You’re insufferable, you know that?” she muttered, though there was a flicker of a smile on her lips. “But… thank you.”
- It didn’t take long for Mystique to realize that her feelings for you went deeper than she was ready to admit. She began showing her affection in small, subtle ways: a protective arm during battles, a rare smile when you cracked a joke, or a quiet moment of vulnerability when she let her guard down around you.
- When Mystique finally confessed her feelings, it was with her trademark bluntness. “I don’t let people in easily,” she said, her tone serious as she looked into your eyes. “But you’ve managed to worm your way into my life, and now I can’t imagine it without you. Just don’t make me regret it.” From that day on, she became fiercely protective of you, though she never lost her sharp edge.
Hank McCoy aka. Beast
- Hank was used to being the calm and rational one, always the first to assess a situation logically. So when you stepped in front of him during a fight, shielding him from an incoming attack, he was completely taken aback. “Are you out of your mind?” he exclaimed, his blue fur bristling as he quickly neutralized the threat. Once the battle was over, he turned to you, his golden eyes filled with a mix of anger and concern. “That was incredibly reckless,” he said, though his voice softened as he added, “but… thank you.”
- After the fight, Hank couldn’t stop replaying the moment in his mind. He admired your courage but was deeply troubled by the thought of you getting hurt. One evening, as the two of you worked together in his lab, he brought it up. “You know,” he began, his voice tinged with hesitation, “you don’t have to prove your bravery to me. I already think the world of you.”
- Over time, Hank found himself drawn to your selflessness and determination. He started looking out for you more during missions, his protective instincts kicking in whenever you were in danger. “If you’re going to keep being this reckless,” he said one day with a wry smile, “I’ll have to invent some kind of force field to keep you safe.”
- The turning point came one night as the two of you shared a quiet moment in the mansion’s library. Hank hesitated before finally speaking. “You mean a great deal to me,” he said, his voice unusually soft. “I suppose what I’m trying to say is… I care about you more than I ever thought possible.” His confession was earnest, his golden eyes meeting yours with an intensity that left no room for doubt.
- From then on, Hank became even more devoted to you, though he always respected your independence. “You’re remarkable,” he said one day as he adjusted his glasses. “But let’s make a deal: I’ll protect you when you need it, and you can do the same for me. Agreed?”
Piotr Rasputin aka. Colossus
- Piotr was no stranger to protecting others—his steel body and gentle heart made him the ultimate shield. So when you jumped in to defend him during a fight, he was completely caught off guard. “You shouldn’t have done that,” he said, his deep voice filled with concern as he quickly moved to shield you in return. Even as he dispatched the enemy, his thoughts were on you.
- After the battle, Piotr couldn’t hide his worry. “Why would you put yourself in harm’s way for me?” he asked, his brows furrowed as he searched your face for an answer. When you told him you couldn’t just stand by and watch him get hurt, his expression softened. “You are brave,” he said quietly, “but you must let me protect you. It is what I do.”
- Over the next few days, Piotr found himself watching you more closely, his protective instincts stronger than ever. He admired your courage but couldn’t shake the fear of losing you. One evening, as the two of you painted together in his studio, he finally spoke up. “You have a kind heart,” he said, his voice gentle. “It is one of the many reasons I care for you so deeply.”
- It wasn’t long before Piotr’s feelings for you became impossible to ignore. He began showing his affection in small ways: offering to carry heavy things for you, making sure you were always safe during missions, and sharing quiet moments where his walls came down. “You are my greatest inspiration,” he admitted one night, his steel hand brushing yours.
- When Piotr finally confessed his feelings, it was with his characteristic sincerity. “I do not know what I would do if something happened to you,” he said, his blue eyes filled with emotion. “You are everything to me.” From that moment on, Piotr became even more devoted to you, his love as unyielding as his steel form.
Illyana Rasputina aka. Magik
- Illyana was used to being the one in control, her mastery of sorcery and combat making her a formidable force. So when you stepped in to protect her during a battle, she was equal parts shocked and infuriated. “What are you doing?” she demanded, her Soul Sword cutting through the enemy with ease. Once the fight was over, she turned to you, her blue eyes blazing. “I don’t need saving,” she snapped, though there was a flicker of something softer beneath her anger.
- After the fight, Illyana couldn’t stop thinking about your actions. She admired your bravery but hated the thought of you putting yourself in danger for her. One night, as the two of you sat together in Limbo, she finally brought it up. “You’re reckless,” she said bluntly, though her voice lacked its usual edge. “But… thank you.”
- Over time, Illyana began to see you in a new light. She admired your selflessness and found herself drawn to your unwavering determination. “You’re infuriating,” she said one day, a rare smile tugging at her lips. “But you’re also… amazing.”
- As your bond deepened, Illyana began letting her guard down around you, something she rarely did with anyone. One night, as the two of you trained together, she finally confessed her feelings. “I’ve spent so much time pushing people away,” she said quietly. “But with you… I don’t want to do that anymore.”
- From that moment on, Illyana became fiercely protective of you, though she respected your strength and independence. “We’re a team,” she said one day, her hand resting on yours. “But if you ever scare me like that again, I’ll teleport you to Limbo and leave you there. Deal?”
Warren Worthington III aka. Angel
- Warren was accustomed to being the protector, his towering wings and privileged upbringing giving him a sense of responsibility for those around him. So when you threw yourself between him and an attacker during a skirmish, using your own body as a shield, Warren was utterly stunned. After quickly dispatching the threat with a powerful swoop of his wings, he turned to you, his blue eyes wide with worry. “What were you thinking?” he demanded, his voice tinged with both anger and disbelief.
- Later, as the two of you regrouped, Warren couldn’t shake the image of you risking yourself for him. “You don’t need to protect me,” he said, his voice soft but insistent. “That’s my job, not yours.” Despite his protests, there was a hint of admiration in his gaze that he couldn’t quite hide.
- Over the following weeks, Warren found himself drawn to your courage and selflessness. He began hovering around you during missions, his wings instinctively shielding you from danger. “If you’re going to keep pulling stunts like that,” he joked one day, “I’m going to need a bigger wingspan to cover us both.”
- It was during a quiet moment in the mansion gardens that Warren finally let his guard down. “You’re incredible, you know that?” he said, his voice tinged with a rare vulnerability. “I’ve spent so much of my life protecting others, but you… you make me feel like I don’t always have to.”
- When Warren confessed his feelings, it was as grand as you might expect from someone as extravagant as him. He took you flying, his arms secure around you as he soared through the sky. “You’re the only person who makes me feel free,” he admitted, his voice barely audible over the wind. From that day forward, Warren became your steadfast partner, his love for you as boundless as the sky itself.
Kitty Pryde aka. Shadowcat
- Kitty had always been fiercely independent, her ability to phase through danger making her a natural at taking care of herself. So when you stepped in to protect her during a mission, shielding her from a blast, she was floored. “You could’ve been hurt!” she exclaimed, her brown eyes wide with worry as she checked you for injuries. “You didn’t have to do that for me.”
- After the mission, Kitty couldn’t stop thinking about your actions. She admired your bravery but was also frustrated that you’d put yourself in harm’s way for her. “You’re not invincible, you know,” she said later, her tone a mix of concern and affection. “Next time, maybe let me handle it?”
- Despite her initial protests, Kitty couldn’t deny the growing admiration she felt for you. She started seeking you out more often, whether it was to partner up during training sessions or just to share a late-night snack in the kitchen. “You’re pretty amazing,” she admitted one evening, her cheeks tinged pink.
- It wasn’t long before Kitty’s feelings for you became impossible to ignore. One night, as the two of you worked on a mission briefing together, she hesitated before speaking. “I’ve been thinking,” she began, her voice unusually hesitant. “You’re always looking out for me, but maybe… I want to look out for you, too.”
- From that moment on, Kitty became your fiercest supporter and most loyal partner. “We make a good team,” she said one day with a grin, slipping her hand into yours. “But let’s try not to scare each other so much, okay?”
Alex Summers aka. Havok
- Alex had always been a bit reckless, his raw power often making him the first to charge into battle. So when you stepped in to protect him during a fight, absorbing an attack meant for him, Alex was furious—but not at you. “What the hell were you thinking?” he shouted as he unleashed a blast of energy at the enemy, his worry evident even in his anger.
- After the fight, Alex cornered you, his blue eyes blazing. “Don’t ever do that again,” he said, his voice shaking. “I can handle myself, but you… you mean too much to me to lose.” His words caught both of you off guard, and he quickly turned away, running a hand through his hair.
- Over the next few days, Alex couldn’t stop replaying the moment in his head. He admired your bravery but hated the thought of you putting yourself in danger for him. One evening, as the two of you sat by the firepit at the mansion, he finally broke the silence. “You’re incredible,” he admitted, his voice low. “But you’ve got to let me protect you, too.”
- It was during a quiet mission debrief that Alex finally let his feelings show. “I’ve been through a lot,” he said, his voice unusually serious. “But you… you make me want to be better. To be someone worth protecting.”
- From that moment on, Alex became your fiercest protector and most devoted partner. “We’re in this together,” he said one day, his hand resting on your shoulder. “But if you ever scare me like that again, I’ll blast whoever put you in danger halfway across the world.”
Jubilation Lee aka. Jubilee
- Jubilee was the first to crack a joke in any situation, her bright personality and pyrotechnic powers lighting up even the darkest days. So when you jumped in front of her during a fight, shielding her from an incoming attack, she was completely floored. “Are you crazy?” she yelled, unleashing a barrage of fireworks at the enemy. “I had that under control!”
- Back at the mansion, Jubilee couldn’t stop thinking about what you’d done. “You’re a total dork, you know that?” she said later, her tone teasing but her eyes serious. “But… thanks. I guess.”
- Over the next few days, Jubilee found herself watching you more closely, her usual carefree attitude giving way to something deeper. “You’re pretty cool for someone who doesn’t have explosive powers,” she said one day with a grin, though the compliment was genuine.
- It wasn’t long before Jubilee’s feelings for you became impossible to ignore. One night, as the two of you sat on the roof of the mansion watching the stars, she turned to you, her usual bravado gone. “You’re always looking out for me,” she said quietly. “But maybe… I want to look out for you, too.”
- From that moment on, Jubilee became your biggest cheerleader and most loyal partner. “You’re stuck with me now,” she said with a playful smirk, her hand slipping into yours. “So don’t even think about doing anything dumb without me around.”
Betsy Braddock aka. Psylocke
- Betsy wasn’t one to let her guard down, her telepathic and telekinetic abilities making her keenly aware of every threat around her. Yet during a heated battle, you stepped in to shield her from an unexpected attack, catching her completely off guard. After dispatching the enemy with a razor-sharp psychic blade, she turned to you, her usually composed face filled with shock. “Why would you do that?” she asked, her voice tight with a mix of anger and concern.
- Betsy couldn’t hide her frustration when she confronted you later. “I don’t need protection,” she said firmly, though her tone softened as she added, “especially not from you.” She couldn’t quite understand why your actions had shaken her so much. You were brave—recklessly so—and it unsettled her to think of you putting yourself in danger for her.
- Over time, Betsy began to notice how deeply she cared for you. She found herself scanning your mind during missions, not to intrude, but to ensure you were safe. “You’re insufferably selfless, you know that?” she muttered one evening, her eyes narrowing even as a faint smile played on her lips.
- During a quiet moment in the training room, Betsy finally let her walls down. “You make me feel… vulnerable,” she admitted, her violet eyes meeting yours. “And that terrifies me. But it’s also why I can’t imagine losing you.”
- From then on, Betsy became fiercely protective of you, though she’d never admit it outright. “We’re a team,” she said one night, her psychic blade flickering in her hand. “But if you ever try to shield me again, you’d better be ready for me to return the favor—tenfold.”
Roberto da Costa aka. Sunspot
- Roberto was confident, charming, and powerful, used to being in the thick of battle with his solar-fueled abilities. But when you stepped between him and an energy blast, your quick reflexes saving him from harm, he was left momentarily speechless. “Are you serious?” he exclaimed, his usual smirk replaced by genuine worry. “You could’ve been hurt!”
- Later, as the adrenaline wore off, Roberto couldn’t stop pacing. “I’m supposed to be the one protecting you, not the other way around,” he said, his tone uncharacteristically serious. He wasn’t used to being the one on the receiving end of such selflessness, and it shook him more than he cared to admit.
- Over the next few days, Roberto’s usual bravado gave way to something more genuine. He started hovering around you during missions, his energy crackling protectively whenever danger arose. “You’re making me crazy, you know that?” he teased one evening, though the concern in his voice was real.
- One night, under the glow of a flickering campfire during a mission, Roberto finally confessed his feelings. “You’re the bravest person I’ve ever met,” he said, his dark eyes softening. “But you don’t have to do it alone. Let me take some of that weight for you.”
- From that moment on, Roberto became your most devoted partner, his love for you shining as brightly as his powers. “You’re my light,” he said with a grin, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “And I’ll fight like hell to make sure nothing dims that.”
Lorna Dane aka. Polaris
- Lorna was a powerhouse, her mastery over magnetism giving her a sense of control in even the most chaotic situations. But during a particularly intense battle, when you used yourself as a shield to protect her, she was caught completely off guard. “Are you out of your mind?” she shouted as she sent a metal barrier flying to neutralize the threat. “What were you thinking?”
- Back at the mansion, Lorna couldn’t stop replaying the moment in her mind. “You don’t need to prove anything to me,” she said later, her green eyes filled with worry. “I already know how amazing you are. Just… don’t scare me like that again.”
- Despite her initial frustration, Lorna found herself thinking more about your bravery. She started watching you more closely, her concern for your well-being growing into something deeper. “You’re impossible,” she muttered one day, though the faint smile on her lips betrayed her affection.
- It wasn’t until a late-night conversation in the mansion’s workshop that Lorna finally opened up. “I’ve spent so much of my life trying to protect the people I care about,” she said, her voice soft. “But with you… it’s different. You make me feel like I don’t always have to be the strong one.”
- From that moment on, Lorna became fiercely protective of you, her magnetic fields often wrapping around you like an invisible shield. “We’re in this together,” she said one day, her hand brushing against yours. “But next time, let me take the hits, okay? You’re way too important to me.”
Neena Thurman aka. Domino
- Domino’s luck powers meant she was used to being the one who defied danger, her natural confidence making her a force to be reckoned with. So when you leapt in to protect her during a mission, taking a hit that had been aimed at her, she was furious. “Are you trying to get yourself killed?” she demanded, her sharp gaze locking onto yours as she dispatched the remaining enemies with deadly precision.
- After the fight, Neena pulled you aside, her usual cool demeanor giving way to frustration. “I don’t need a hero,” she said, her tone biting but her eyes betraying a flicker of concern. “That’s my job.” Despite her protests, she couldn’t shake the feeling of gratitude mixed with worry that had settled in her chest.
- Over the next few days, Neena’s behavior toward you began to change. She started sticking closer during missions, her sharp eyes always scanning for threats in your direction. “You’ve got a death wish, don’t you?” she joked one day, though the protectiveness in her tone was undeniable.
- One evening, as the two of you sat on the mansion’s rooftop, Neena finally let her guard down. “You drive me crazy, you know that?” she said, her voice softer than usual. “But I guess that’s why I can’t stop thinking about you.”
- From that moment on, Domino became your fiercest ally and most loyal partner. “We make a pretty good team,” she said with a grin, her hand brushing against yours. “Just try not to get yourself killed, okay? I’m not lucky enough to find someone like you twice.”
Alison Blaire aka. Dazzler
- You had always admired Alison’s fearless attitude and her ability to turn sound into light, dazzling enemies with her powers as well as her presence. During a particularly chaotic mission, you noticed an enemy targeting her while she was focusing on saving civilians. Without hesitation, you threw yourself into the fray, using every bit of your strength to shield her. When the dust settled, Alison stood there, her hands glowing faintly, her mouth slightly open in shock. “What the hell was that?” she asked, her voice cracking slightly. “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”
- Later, Alison found you nursing your injuries and sat beside you, arms crossed, a mixture of anger and gratitude on her face. “You’re brave,” she admitted, her tone softening. “But seriously, you don’t have to protect me. I’ve been doing this long enough to handle myself.” Yet despite her words, you caught her stealing glances at you when she thought you weren’t looking.
- Over the next few missions, Alison became more protective of you, even if she’d never admit it outright. “Stay close, okay?” she’d say casually, positioning herself between you and danger. Her light shows became brighter and more ferocious when you were in harm’s way, and she started to realize how much she cared about your safety.
- One night, after a show she put on for the team to lighten the mood, Alison finally opened up. “You’ve got this way of making me feel like I’m more than just a performer,” she said, her voice barely audible over the distant hum of her powers. “And that scares the hell out of me.”
- From that moment on, Alison’s vibrant personality softened when it came to you. She’d use her powers to create private light displays just for you, her dazzling performances carrying an unspoken promise. “I don’t need saving,” she said one night, her hand brushing yours. “But if you ever need it, I’ll blind the whole world for you.”
Kevin Sydney aka. Morph
- Morph had always been the team’s class clown, using his shapeshifting abilities to lighten the mood in even the darkest moments. So when you threw yourself in front of him during a fight, taking a blow meant for him, he was completely unprepared for the surge of emotions that followed. “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” he exclaimed, pulling you back to safety. “What are you doing? I’m the comic relief—I’m supposed to be the one pulling stupid stunts!”
- Back at the mansion, Kevin couldn’t stop hovering around you, cracking jokes to hide his worry. “I get it—you wanted to impress me,” he said with a wink. “But next time, try not to, you know, almost die?” Despite his lighthearted tone, his eyes gave away just how shaken he was by the incident.
- Over the next few days, Morph’s usual antics became more focused on you. He’d shapeshift into ridiculous versions of himself to make you laugh or shift into your likeness to mimic your heroics. “See? I can be the noble protector too,” he teased, though his protectiveness became more genuine as his feelings for you deepened.
- One evening, during a rare quiet moment, Kevin finally dropped his playful facade. “I joke around a lot,” he admitted, his voice unusually serious. “But you? You make me want to be better—someone worth protecting, not just entertaining.”
- From then on, Morph’s shapeshifting abilities became a tool for both laughter and love. He’d transform into a shield or armor to keep you safe during missions, always with a quip on his lips. “I’ve got your back,” he’d say with a grin. “Literally. And I always will.”
David Haller aka. Legion
- Being with David meant navigating his fractured mind and the chaos that came with his immense powers. During a mission gone wrong, you saw one of his personalities struggling to take control, leaving him vulnerable. Without a second thought, you stepped in, shielding him from an incoming attack. When he came to, David’s mismatched eyes were wide with disbelief. “Why would you do that?” he asked, his voice trembling. “Do you have any idea how dangerous I am?”
- David tried to distance himself from you after that, convinced he was too unstable to deserve your protection. “You can’t keep doing that,” he said, his voice raw with emotion. “I can’t… I can’t be responsible for you getting hurt.” But no matter how hard he tried to push you away, you refused to leave his side, determined to show him that he was worth protecting.
- Over time, David began to let you in, trusting you in ways he hadn’t trusted anyone before. You became his anchor, your presence helping him regain control when his personalities threatened to overwhelm him. “You’re not scared of me,” he said one day, his voice filled with wonder. “How is that even possible?”
- One night, as you sat together in the quiet of the mansion’s garden, David finally let his walls crumble. “You’re the first person who’s ever made me feel… whole,” he admitted, his hand shaking as it reached for yours. “I don’t know how you do it, but I don’t want to lose it.”
- From then on, David’s love for you became a stabilizing force in his life. He used his powers with newfound confidence, always keeping you in his mind as a source of strength. “You saved me,” he said one day, his voice steady for the first time in a long while. “And I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure you never have to save me again.”
- Bishop was always the soldier, the protector, his rigid sense of duty driving him to shield others from harm. So when you stepped in to protect him during a mission, intercepting an attack that would have taken him down, he was furious. “What the hell were you thinking?” he demanded, his usually calm demeanor replaced by uncharacteristic anger. “I don’t need saving!”
Lucas Bishop aka. Bishop
- Later, Bishop found himself unable to stop thinking about your actions. He sought you out, his stern expression softening as he spoke. “You’re brave,” he admitted reluctantly. “But that doesn’t mean you have to put yourself in harm’s way for me.” Despite his words, he couldn’t deny the respect and admiration growing in his chest.
- Over time, Bishop started watching you more closely during missions, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive whenever you were in danger. “Stay close to me,” he’d say, his voice gruff but filled with an undercurrent of concern. It was clear that your courage had left an indelible mark on him.
- One evening, as the two of you sat together cleaning your gear, Bishop finally let his guard down. “I’ve always been the one protecting others,” he said, his voice low. “But you… you make me realize it’s okay to rely on someone else. And that scares me.”
- From that moment on, Bishop’s love for you became a quiet but unyielding presence. He fought harder, trained harder, always keeping your safety at the forefront of his mind. “You’re my partner,” he said one day, his hand resting on your shoulder. “And I’ll protect you with everything I’ve got. But don’t you dare risk yourself like that again.”

The Rogue and Gambit Project: Omega Red (X-Men #5-7)
Tumblr media
Okay, so neither Rogue or Gambit are chilling on the cover - but at least they get to be in the little Marvel logo!
This arc was started in #4 and dragged out for another three issues. And it's very Wolverine focused. I don't really care that much for Wolverine's backstory, and honestly, it doesn't matter that much, but there are some juicy tidbits to pick out of the rest of the arc.
On we go with Omega Red....
Tumblr media
X-Men #5
When we last saw them, Rogue and Gambit were taken prisoner and look! They're being transported together. How cute to see their names together, lol!
Tumblr media
X-Men #5
Gambit with the literal tricks up his sleeve! Again, I had forgotten how this early work makes him look so cool. Also - I feel like it's time, again, to make the obligatory comment about how Rogue and Gambit end up in chains together. This will be a common thread throughout their romance together.
Tumblr media
X-Men #5
I've always loved badass Rogue. Her dress is torn to shreds, her shoes are gone, they've ruined her first real date. She's about to bring it.
Tumblr media
X-Men #5
I don't really have a whole lot of commentary other than - how hot do they look just being on the same panel together? While I do have some qualms about Jim Lee's art (Psylocke, ooff...) they look so good here. The story isn't as important, they've evade capture for the time being. ...that's about it.
Tumblr media
X-Men #5
I kind of love these double spreads of the full team. You get so many personalities and so many dynamics and we just don't see a lot of it anymore -- doesn't help that there are a million X-Men these days. A lot of this is just moving plot forward -- Blue Team going to find Wolverine (and Omega Red) while the Gold Team are going to go on their own adventures. Not much to comment on - but I do like that they're consistently putting Rogue and Gambit near each other.
Tumblr media
X-Men #5
Just another action shot of the two of them together at the end of this particular issue.
I guess I'll take a moment to talk about the subplot of these issues being the return of Dazzler and Longshot. There's no real connection there, other than it's going on, and I'll have to talk about it in a about a half dozen issues or so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
X-Men #6
More action shenanigans! Also, Gambit being sassy with the villains, something I do appreciate about him.
Tumblr media
X-Men #6
Alright, so I gotta talk about this panel for a moment. Time to address something that happens a lot in comics, and Jim Lee is particularly bad about it. It's the whole women having to be overly sexualized while fighting (dying/being in pain/etc). I'm not saying the male characters aren't overly done either, but the women in comics often are very much portrayed for the male gaze and sometimes it feels a lot more gratuitous than not.
This is the classic tits and ass shot, where women in comics are contorted in an unnatural way so they can show off their bodies so they can look hot to the male reader. And yeah, it's annoying. I don't particularly like it. I clearly won't be talking about it every time it happens, but I do think Rogue gets over sexualized /a lot/ and it is worth talking about. You can have a character be sexy - and that is fine. And yes, I realize the nature of comics in general is to be unrealistic in all body types. But I still think there's some worth acknowledging it, and commenting that in some ways, we have come a long way with comics art and in some ways we haven't. It's a worthwhile conversation to have.
Tumblr media
X-Men #6
Alright, back to more fun things. Gambit is kind of knocked out at the moment, and we have the cute moment of Rogue calling him 'Loverbayou'.
And also kind of out of nowhere, Psylocke reminds Rogue (and the audience) that Gambit is still a relatively new character. This is kind of planting the seeds for a couple of things -- for one, Sabretooth is gonna show up and being really cryptic about something. For two, Bishop is gonna show up and be really cryptic about something. For three, Belladonna is going to show up and be rather blunt about something.
Tumblr media
X-Men #6
Hey, look, they're strung up next to each other again! Take a shot! ;)
Tumblr media
X-Men #6
So, this is arguably the most important sequence in these entire there issues, and it's mostly set up for what's coming down the road.
First of all -- Sabretooth mentions that Gambit is 'workin' the side of the angels'. It's an interesting statement meant to set up that maybe Gambit has some skeletons in his closet he isn't so proud of.
I'm not sure if this is set up for his connection with the marauders, or the Genevieve nonsense, or the X-Traitor stuff Bishop is going to bring or if they just want to dangle a thread and see where it goes. But Gambit's got a past, and we're gonna find some stuff out... just not in this arc.
Secondly, two things strike me as particularly funny here -- the fact that Gambit - a known smoker - is talking about the consequences of second hand smoke is just ridiculous, and the fact that Sabretooth calls his blood spicy. Which, I mean, that's gross. But also hilarious.
Tumblr media
X-Men #6
Gambit continues to be his sassy, sarcastic self. What we don't know at the moment is that Gambit did not grow up with a mother. It just adds an interesting layer onto this comment.
Tumblr media
X-Men #7
Alright, so after a bunch of Wolverine related nonsense, and after the longwinded Dazzler/Longshot subplot, our heroes are finally getting rescued... By Sabretooth? Um, sure. It really doesn't matter. Unless you're a huge Wolverine fan, then maybe go back and catch up, but this plot just isn't relevant here.
Rogue and Gambit are still hanging around here, though. That's still fun!
Tumblr media
X-Men #7
Not much to say - I just like the action/hero shot.
Tumblr media
X-Men #7
Another action sequence where Rogue and Gambit get to be badasses together! Rogue is so sassy here. I really appreciate her.
Anyway - they save Wolverine from Omega Red and Fenris! Whoo!
Tumblr media
X-Men #7
...and that's really it! We end our arc with Rogue and Gambit standing next to each other.
Can't say this was the most exciting arc we get, but at least they get some nice action sequences and nearly all of their appearances are next to each other. There is this kind of underlying vibe that they're kind of a pair now, despite the fact that the date and anything from issue #4 was not commented on.
Well, it will be... Buckle up kids, because we're for a whole lot of fun in X-Men #8. ;)

"David Marquez is the perfect artist for this book," she continued. "He does amazing action, amazing character work, and he’s really excited about getting into the characters appearing in this book. EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN
Written by Eve L. Ewing
Art by Carmen Carnero
On Sale 9/4
Mutantkind’s two greatest teachers mold the next generation of X-Men! Kate Pryde has returned home to Chicago following the war with Orchis. Having stepped away from the world of mutantdom, she is nevertheless called back into action as she crosses paths with a trio of new young mutants, Bronze, Axo, and Melee, who clearly need training and guidance. Unfortunately for Kate, Emma Frost thinks so as well!
"Longtime fans of Kitty Pryde can count on the kinds of adventures you expect from her as a classic favorite, while I hope new and old readers alike will get to love this all-new team of young mutants," Ewing shared. "Kitty, the one-time kid sister figure of the X-Men, has to reckon with her own memories—good and bad—of being a child of Xavier as she navigates a role as leader and mentor for a new generation of mutants who are trying to make their way in a time of crisis."
"I always try to strike a chord between appealing to veteran comics fans and new readers, but since so many people fell in love with the X-Men as teens and this book is about a team of young folks, that feels especially important to me here," she continued. "I hope that for some 13- or 14-year-old readers, this might be the first comic book they pick up.
"Working on this series has been a ton of fun already, as Carmen Carnero's art is bringing so much dynamism to these pages and the entire X-team of writers is in a flurry sharing scripts and feedback and ideas," she added.

Rivals favorite restaurant from another world
Hello everyone! This is my very first series, and it's actually meant to be my 100 followers special!!
I got some interest in the idea when I was taking a poll that involved some of my own ideas and I decided since it involves every character in Rivals, I would make it super special.
This is a series, and so hopefully I'll get a new day out every week (no promises).
Reader (you) is referred to as Chef from time to time, but there's nothing specific like pronouns or appearance (other than sometimes clothes).
Tumblr media
No relationship other than friendship is specified between any characters, especially when it comes to Chef/Reader, but there might be some hints of something more.
